Mine!!!

This poetry,

that you plagiarized .

Those words you stole

They are not yours; they are all mine.

It has my fears

It's soaked with my tears

You can copy it

With your own pen,

but you can't replicate

those feelings I ectched on it with my heart.

This sketch

You claimed it’s yours.

The art you took away

It is not yours; it is my own.

Its born first in my head

And into the canvases it fled.

You can take away

The frame and the board,

But you can’t take away

The blood and sweat I mixed into the paint.

This misery

You tried to imitate

You are too shallow

Too hollow to make the pain feel real

Veins filled with agony

Too bad you can’t feel it, what irony.

You can pretend it’s yours

All those pieces of my heart,

But you can’t fake it all

The elegance that flows from my hand.

“Midnight in the middle of a miniature graveyard”

A silhouette is digging up a grave

“What are you doing?”

An onlooker asked.

The figure turned and replied,

“I’m just expanding my place.”

“The Voices”

Everywhere is noise

Can you hear my voice?

Just a silent whisper;

a deep murmur

I listen,

I try to comprehend;

but what they say are senseless

and everywhere is pain.

Spamming to sell,

Words without thoughts.

So I began to scream,

Adding to the chaotic chatter.

Mine!!

*sigh* oh yes..

though i understand both sides of that.. having had my work stolen, word for word, line for line, thought for thought.. that hurts. that's a very deep violation.

but having had a similar thought, a similar experience to someone else, and found out much later we handled it in similar ways - the gut-wrenching pain and terror of being accused of theft for that which bore the imprints of my bloody soul - i haven't yet found words for it. *shrug*

excellently written - acknowledging both what can be stolen, and what can never be taken away.

You vocalized the feeling behind Mine! really well, as everyone has said. :)

I like the humor that I see in Midnight'. I hope you intended it to be funny! But I have a graveyard sense of humor at times anyway.

In The Voices, You captured much of the way I feel about logging into my email account and finding legitimate messages have been bouncing because of the spam count.

Really enjoyable reading. Thank you! :)
