whats everyone think of the ending?? :unsure:

Anarchy means equality,

And equality

Describes the way things should be.

Youth of the world,

Free.

Teenagers of the world unite!

Pick your loud speakers and fight,

For you rights!

Tell every one what’s going down,

In your neighbourhood, in your home town.

Tell them how you hate it here,

And how you don’t want no highflying career,

Because its not worth it,

Its not cool,

Goddamn, don’t even want to go to school!

Rules don’t sit comfortably with me,

I believe they’re there to be challenged you see.

Don’t want no dope or ecstasy…

Because everyone around the world,

Is the same,

All human with their own brains.

Some just think that they’re better than others,

Discriminators!! Run for cover!

Respect everyone black, red, blue,

Or white

We do, and we’re the children of the future night,

And we are right;

You cannot stop us,

Tearing borders down,

Like violent drunks react to coppers.

This world belongs to everyone,

Man, women, animal, daughter and son.

Everyone should be equal.

Everyone should be free.

And if you don’t believe that,

Then you’re crazy,

And I don’t want to know you;

Come, and I’ll show you

The Chinese kids,

Dying in the street,

The American families

Who can’t make ends meet.

Suicide only leaves pain;

And a choice you cannot make again…

... I'm not sure how the ending fits in with the rest of it... though it (the last two lines) is very true.

It just doesn't seem relevant to the rest, to me. Am I missing something?

Are only teenagers invited to unite in causing Anarchy? *Sniff* ...and I had all these plans and stuff but I'm too old...unless I led you - but then if I done that or if there were any leaders at all it wouldn't exactly be anarchy or is there such a thing as organized anarchy? Ooooh my mind is hurting :blink:

Rambling but fun - hold onto those ideals when paying your taxes ;)

Nice poem............I too don't think that the last 2 lines fit in wiht the rest of the poem.........i can't see how suicide fits in with the freedom/anarchy part....but all the same it was very well written.

Anarchy obviously means different things to different people. Anarchy means lawlessness to me. "I want your life as well as your wallet, your rules mean nothing to me." is the Anarchist's creedo. So if Equality is what you seek choose a better word. The poem takes on I feel a worthy topic but it loses me along the way.

Social change is a worthy cause and perhaps worth fighting for but again I would choose better model.

In the words of Martin Luther King, Jr,

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal."
