Guest Morbid Angel Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 I am new here.......critisism welcome...... The air is thick The sky is dark The wind stirs The rain leaves it's mark. Lightening strikes Thunder sounds The earth washes away Leaving us all to drown. The dogs howl The roof parts Babies scream in fear The sounds ripping at my heart. Unforgiving surrounds An atmosphere not allowing sleep The clouds devouring the stars The torment does not come cheap. ~MoRbid AngeL~
Ayshela Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 interesting, and very evocative. "unforgiving surrounds" - in the context, it seems as if you mean surroundings?
Parmenion Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 I think he/she does Ayshela. I do enjoy a good poem which compares the elements of nature and normality (dogs howling) to the emotional torment of a person's soul. And in this instance I think you have done a damn fine job of it! Bravo!
