DoomGaze Posted September 28, 2003 Report Posted September 28, 2003 Transitioning Phase ==================== My sorrow filled eyes I use to see, Brings my forsakened self to the brink of dawn. The stars so bright fade ever so slowly Till everything I recognize is far from gone. My frozen heart begins to thaw, Eyes now adjusting to the waking light. Mouth open, discovers some awe As my reborn soul turns from black to white. My wandering spirit dissolves it's advance, The silent echoes in my head fade away. All that was there, has taken their final glance, The torment you see, has gone astray.

Nyyark Posted September 28, 2003 Report Posted September 28, 2003 Nice poem! I really like the subtle hint at the loss of stars for day, which parrallels the loss of the beauty of pain for the wonders of its absences! I went through an emotional trasition recently (depression -> healthy) and this captures wonderfully what I felt. Good job!
