Louveteau Posted September 14, 2003 Report Posted September 14, 2003 [i'm not great at story telling, but I'll give it a shot and introduce myself with some sort of story ] As the door opens with a cracking, a young male enters. His cloak is all soaked by the rain and he's trembling cause of the cold. He looks around to see if he's able to spot any familair faces. He was supposed to meet someone here. As he can't find his friend he walks over to the bar and asks the bartender for beer. As the bartender gave him his beer, he walks towards a chair near the fire. He throws his cloak over the chair and sits down comfortably at the fire. Since he clearly is a stranger, people are getting curious and start asking him some questions since they don't get visited by strangers that often: "Who are you? Where did you come from? Why are you here?" Since there's no other option then telling his story and his friend hasn't shown up yet, he decides he can introduce himself: "My name is Erik, but most people know me as Louveteau. At the moment I'm a 22 year old student living in The Netherlands. The study I follow, is called "Human (Kinetic) Technology". I came here on these boards cause some friends wanted me to see their poems. As I read those, I thought I can try writing some as well. But it might take a while before I write any cause I tend to forget my thoughts."
Snypiuer Posted September 14, 2003 Report Posted September 14, 2003 An individual walks over and introduces himself, " I am Snypiuer and would like to welcome you here." He is about 6 feet tall and dressed in (what seems to be the dominate color here) black leathers, a cape and a floppy wide brim hat. He wears an eye patch over his left eye that has a design that reminds one of cross hairs on a scope. He kind of unnerves you because he seems to be looking at you with his left eye and his cloak which appears to be darker then any thing you have ever seen and actually absorbes light from around him, seems to be moving of it's own free will. "I happened to over hear that you often forget your thoughts. I find that, usually, forgetting ones thoughts comes from being easily distracted. A sure fire cure for that is...hey, what's that over there?" Snypiuer then wanders away. Hope to see some of your writing. This place is full of great writers and nice helpful people. They even let talentless hacks such as myself post, WITHOUT telling them their talentless! They help and give advise! GOTTA love that. Have fun and join in! Oh yeah...welcome!
Alaeha Posted September 14, 2003 Report Posted September 14, 2003 Alaeha looked up from her brooding as the door to the Cabaret room opened once again. Interesting... she hadn't seen this man before. He'd obviously just gotten here, his cloak was completely soaked... though with the weather outside, that only meant he'd been out for a couple minutes. As Snypiuer wandered off, she set aside her brooding for a time, and began to walk toward the newcomer. With a short, whispered song, she sent a wave of warmth running through him. "Glad to see a new face here." She smiled. "I'm Alaeha. "I apologize if I wasn't supposed to overhear, but my seat was nearby. I've found that the best way to prevent your thoughts from being forgotten is to write them down immediately. But I'll be looking forward to reading something of yours..." Without awaiting a reply, the SpellSinger returned to her seat, donned her cloak , and left. OOC: Welcome... Not sure there's much more to say than that, and what I've already said. So... *Hugs* Consider yourself thoroughly welcome.
Peredhil Posted September 14, 2003 Report Posted September 14, 2003 A whirlwind of activity swirls into the Cabaret, waving, hugging, and greeting everyone happily. Peredhil has obviously been out visiting, for he's wearing his travel clothes: Varnet sunglasses, Armani suit, and his azure ring. Trying to keep up with him are his two Bodyguards, Guido and Nuncio, the Giant Guinea Pigs. By the time Peredhil has reached the center of the room, the Bartender has extended a sparking water on ice on one prehensile frond to Peredhil and people have gathered around to get THEIR hugs before he disappears on business again. My! So many people to greet, Brute's birthday to attend, Letters to write and - He breaks off short and smiles with pure joy. A newcomer! Elladan, who's been quietly sitting in a window-ledge alcove drifts up and whispers in his father's ear as Peredhil makes her way over to the new face in the room. Elrohir, Elladan's twin, manages a spell to dry Louveteau's clothes before Peredhil hugs Erik, mindful of the cleaning expenses of the suit Peredhil wears. Erik! Do you mind if I call you Louveteau? I knew someone with a half-a-bee named Erik, and a berserker named Erik, and a singer who went by Derek but became Erik, so it might cause me a bit of confusion. Welcome! I hope you've a room already? He catches Elladan's nod Yes, you do - just get with Elladan there, and he'll show you your room. Our guest, a new audience is alway welcome! The words continue streaming seemingly without need to breathe If you read the sticky signs posted at the entrance to all the chambers, you'll do well, and feel free to wander anywhere that you can gain entrance. If you wish to contribute your own works, we'll be more than happy to listen! Welcome welcome again! Feel free to ask questions of anyone. With a Polite smile, Peredhil vanishes through down the hallway to the left of the bar and is gone again. Elladan gives Louveteau a small diagram and a key.
Ayshela Posted September 14, 2003 Report Posted September 14, 2003 a small form rises from the table in the corner and wends her way toward the bar. Having whirled through and given her hugs on arrival friday, she feels no need to repeat Peredhil's performance, and simply collects her own hug on the way toward her waiting refill. "Thank you much," she says softly as she tosses coins to the bartender. "And another for the stranger here, whatever he's drinking, please?" Stopping by the newcomer's seat she extends a hand in welcome. "Pleased to meet you, i'm sure you'll find yourself quite welcome here. Oh, and here, this may help with the forgotten thoughts issue." Ayshela sets a small notebook and pen beside him, smiles, and vanishes back toward her shadowed table in the corner.
Katzaniel Posted September 14, 2003 Report Posted September 14, 2003 How come I never got a key? Oh wait, nowhere to keep it... Welcome, Louveteau.
Sorciere Posted September 15, 2003 Report Posted September 15, 2003 Sorciere walks into the bar heading for her usual stool in the corner when she sees a familiar figure sat at the bar, Oh my, Louve!! You made it here? That's great! Glad to see you got so many lovely welcomes, people here are so nice! However, I am one of the lucky ones who have already made your acquaintence, so, where's my drink? On a more serious note, glad to see you in here, I hope you find it interesting and fun. Sorry my being here might have spoiled that for you hehe, but nevertheless, welcome!!
Gwaihir Posted September 15, 2003 Report Posted September 15, 2003 A rather messy elf looks up as he runs quickly by, but his writer peeps out from behind him 'Good to see you here Louve! :)'
Appy Posted September 15, 2003 Report Posted September 15, 2003 *Appy walks in and hugtackles Louvetau, get's up, and dissapears in a corner without uttering a word* OOC: eya! (I could never shut up lol)
Savannah Posted September 15, 2003 Report Posted September 15, 2003 Savannah walks out of the closet where she has been looking for stuff to sell. Walking up to the new guy she holds out her hand. "Nice to meet you-Don't ya hate it when you're the new guy? As for thoughts-at least you have them. But then again, its hard to miss what you never had. " *Laughing, she goes back to the closet* The maharajah of an Indian Province issued a royal decree. He ordered that no one was to kill any wild animals while he was the country's leader. The decree was honored until there were so many Bengal Tigers running loose that the people revolted and threw the maharajah from power. This is the first known instance of the reign being called on account of the game.
WrenWind Posted September 15, 2003 Report Posted September 15, 2003 * looks up from her book when the commotion of Peredhil wandering through finally gets her attention * "Oh Hello and welcome Louveteau please excuse me if i don't keep writing now i will loose my train of thought"
Lady Celes Crusader Posted September 16, 2003 Report Posted September 16, 2003 Welcome Louveteau, and we already have a smiley for you: Never hesitate to write anything you like, we appreciate efforts and constructive critics and we are supportive toward each others.
Louveteau Posted September 16, 2003 Author Report Posted September 16, 2003 Louveteau stands up, grabs his cloak and walks towards the door. "I'd like to thank you all for your warm welcome, but I'll be wandering around again. I'll see you later." After saying this, he opens the door and walks out into the rain again. As some people sitting at the windows look out, they see no man at all. All they see is a large but young wolf disappearing into the forest nearby
