lumpenproletariat Posted September 13, 2003 Report Posted September 13, 2003 18? come and buy me beer! :| happy bday old man :wizzie:
Tyrion Posted September 13, 2003 Report Posted September 13, 2003 *cries* I don't want to be 18! Anyway...No beer for you young lady.
Peredhil Posted September 13, 2003 Report Posted September 13, 2003 Happy Birthday! Thank you for all the details and facts with which you constantly support me in IRC Pen chat. In the way my mind thinks it works, facts are useless, so I greatly appreciate a precision and memory like yours. Turning eighteen can also open up freedoms as well as responsibilities. although I suppose freedom can be scarier than no choices at all for some. Refraining from hugging, Peredhil shakes hands instead.
Ayshela Posted September 13, 2003 Report Posted September 13, 2003 Happy happy birthday! *cheers* *begins passing out cake, ice cream, and noisemakers*
Appy Posted September 13, 2003 Report Posted September 13, 2003 Happy Birthday *hands out some rootbeers*
Aardvark Posted September 13, 2003 Report Posted September 13, 2003 18, 'eh? Enjoy the next two years. Your last two as a kid I dunno what you're meant to do with your 20th year. Aside from drink a lot. It's such a pointless year. A one year void seperating adulthood and... that... umm... mental blank, damnit. Teenage years word thing.... stupid gray matter going in my old age...
Tyrion Posted September 13, 2003 Report Posted September 13, 2003 (edited) I don't know how it works in Australia Aard, but here at 18 I'm not really considered a kid. I can vote, drink, go to strip clubs etc... I had the best day too, I helped my uncle (and neighbor) re-shingle his roof. I had the big belt with the hammer, measuring tape, cutter, nails and all. Pretty funny sight for my mother and sister. I might just drop out of uni to work on rooves. (Good thing I turned 18 today too, because the pitch gun said it was unsuitable for children.) Also I believe the word you are looking for is 'adolescence.' Edited September 13, 2003 by Tyrion
Alaeha Posted September 13, 2003 Report Posted September 13, 2003 *Hugs* Happy birthday, then. You're about a year and a half closer to being a nonadolescent than I. (Considering some of the 21-30 year olds I know, I'm not sure "adult" is the proper term) Enjoy what there is left of the day.
Valdar and Astralis Posted September 14, 2003 Report Posted September 14, 2003 *refrains from an impuslive 'grats!'* Happy birthday!
Tyrion Posted September 14, 2003 Report Posted September 14, 2003 I have the age thing covered. You know how time passes more slowly when you're bored? Well having been bored for the last 5 years I'm actually around 30 by now.
Sorciere Posted September 14, 2003 Report Posted September 14, 2003 Happy Birthday (late as usual:o/)
