Another death, a meaningless death. Bene couldn't have hurt a fly. Joshua couldn't comprehend why he had been so brutally murdered. Work. It was what took Joshua's mind off too black thought. *chop* *chop* He had deliberately chosen hard wood. Sweat poured down his back and from his armpits. And still he couldn't help thinking about the recent events. Luke hanging from a tree, his limp form evidence to the viciousness everyone harboured towards the wolves. Bene, so brutally murdered, his blood covering a large area. *chop* *chop* The tree, forty feet tall fell with a resounding crash, Joshua almost forgetting to jump away. He got to work chopping the small, useless branches away. Who could profit from these deaths. Someone hoping to buy clemency for their child from the wolves? An unborn child possibly? Someone fearing for their own safety? Joshua had to stop these thoughts. It was exactly what the wolves would have wanted. To get them to fight amongst themselves. Joshua feared that they were succeeding. OOC: Vote for Tanny/Taleena

Painful memories of his sister welled up in him. Memories of twenty-five years ago, he would have preferred to suppress. He couldn't help it. Another death and talk of the wolves had brought these memories back. Joshua simply turned to Bill after the man accused him, but did not reply to him. Tania...it's starting again... OOC: Vote for Finnius/Luke...I hate voting just to save myself from a 50%...

This one birch tree had been particularly hard and heavy to chop down. It had taken Joshua twice the time he had initially estimated to fell the tree and to chop it up. The woods had echoed his axe strokes the whole morning and most of the afternoon. His cart, heavily laden with the birch wood, and that of the oak he had chopped the previous day was slowly pulled along the road by his trusted mule, Brown. He wasn't really brown, but more of a dirty grey hue. Joshua had called him Brown in memory of his sister's dog, Brown, who had passed away seven years after his sister's death. It was already dark when Joshua arrived with his cart. He planned on dropping off the wood at the Morrison's. It was then that he arrived at the scene of the death. The body was just being loaded on a wagon. Tian's body. Joshua gently pulled on Brown's reins, stopping his own cart. He jumped down to the ground and went over to the group. "How?" he simply asked, then followed up with another question, to which he dreaded the answer. "Wolves?" He had thought they had another moon...

The Mighty Pen Garden Gnome Recreation Center
Patrick replied to Wyvern's topic in Cabaret Room Archives
An idea. He needed an idea. Several hours he had already thought about this problem and had found nothing. And then suddenly, as though an idea was born in his head...but no...it was just Patham remembering that he was hungry. *CLICK* He had it. Although the gnomes never got hungry, there were those little rodents, mice and rats who could sneak up on them and take a bite out of them. And rodents were an owls natural enemy. A simple feather from an owl, given to each gnome might be enough to keep them away. Half an hour later, Patham presented the collection of feathers to the gnomes, giving one to each one of them. -

I haven't added the Portrait of Zool emote, because it would cause the Show All emoticon list to need scrolling to see the emotes. However you can attain it at the following adress: http://www.themightypen.net/style_emoticons/default/Zool.gif

Saw this a couple of years ago, but it is still great for a laugh.

This was so exciting. Mom always used to tell me about Canid. I take another, small bite of the rabbit, savouring the taste of fresh meat in my mouth. I nudge the corspe with one of my paws towards Canid. "You should have some too! Aren't you hungry?" I'm pretty sure she hadn't caught the rabbit just for me.

I saw Pan's labyrinth last night. I had been expecting a good film from what I heard about it, but it even managed to surpass my expectations. Great acting, and I can't stress the word enough. The lead character, 12 year old Ofelia was probably played the best. The fantasy beasties are also very well done, and don't look at all out of place in the movie. The way the movie moves between the real world and the fantasy world is done seemlessly and flawlessly. Be warned though, there is some pretty strong violence in the film. It is never gratuitous violence, it always fits, but still, it might trouble the faint of heart. Most definitely a film I'd recommend watching.

Have you ever put something off until after the last moment and then realised that you actually had an extra day to do it?
