Sensing a familier scent in the air, Mynx began tracking it down to the Recruiter's Office. Smiling kindly at her parter Gryphon as he wandered by tiredly, Mynx paused to give him a hug before she opened the door and walked in to find Lord Panther. Conjuring a chair, Mynx sat down on it backwards, resting her arms and chin on the backrest as she grinned widely at her feline friend. "So what's wrong with being a cat may I ask? I don't know about you but I find it oh so hard to maintain a human form..." Mynx grinned further, nodding her head in the direction her distracted partner had drifted. "Listen to what he said, ain't nothing wrong with letting your hair out here."

The bushes gave her just enough cover to stay out of sight. Sweet’s eyes followed Mynx. This was definitely the biggest, talking cat she’d ever seen, and she was dying to know more about her. However, she also knew that she hadn’t been behaving her best the last time they had met, and she wasn’t sure if she could just walk up to her now. Sweet was dying to ask her more questions. She moved just that little bit too excitedly, and tumbled out behind the bushes straight in front of Mynx’s paws. “uhmm…..hullo..” she looked up, not sure what to expect next. Mynx blinked in surprise at the sudden appearance at her paws, before she recognised the child as Sweet. "Hello," she smiled softly, resting against her scythe as she watched the child get up, dust herself off, and regard the large feline. "Wow!" Sweet said, shyness gone now that Mynx didn't appear to be annoyed. "Do you know how to use that?" she pointed at the scythe. Mynx blinked and turned her head to look at her weapon, the movement causing the bell on her ear to ring softly. Sweet's eyes gleamed. "You have a bell! Just like a real kittycat! But real kittycats have bells on collars. Why don't you have a collar? Is it cos you're a talking kittycat?" Bouncing around Mynx she continued asking questions as they walked towards the Cabaret Room, “Do you have fur everywhere? And…and…do you do magic? There’s lots of people do magic here, but maybe kittycats don’t do that, do you? And I would also like to know…ooohh!” They had arrived in the Cabaret Room, and Sweet has discovered the smoldering remains of the Almost Dragonic Brand Carriage-Buggy Mobile™. She ran over to it, “Wouldn’t it be fun if we could play with this…..I dun even know your name…what’s your name?” She bounced back to Mynx, and focused her eyes on the feline the way only a child can do. "Uh..." Mynx's brain was beginning to hurt with all the questions, moreso as she was given no time to answer them. Finally, her mind settled on the most recent question. "Mynx," she finally managed with a wry grin, "my name is Mynx." "Ooooh what's a Mynx? Is it a kitty breed? And why do you dress like the death man? You're not a man, you're a lady...cat...kittylady!" Bouncing once more to the remains of the Almost Dragonic Brand Carriage-Buggy Mobile™ Sweet began dancing around it. "I wonder what it was like when it wasn't in so many iddle bits! Are you a mechanic kittycatMynxlady? Do you know how to make it go?" A sigh escaped Mynx, this was definitely one hyper child, and she decided that it might work to fix the buggy so that Sweet would maybe be distracted by it. She nodded to the bouncing girl, “But we need to get the pieces together first. Do you think you can do that?” Sweet put her finger against her cheek and thought about it for a moment, and then smiled a wide smile, “sure I can.” She started running around gathering the random pieces of the car. Mynx could have done all this with a simple spell, but she couldn’t help hoping that Sweet would be a bit more tired, and a bit calmer after this. Half an hour later a big pile of junk lay in front of her paws, and she stared at the puffing child. “I think that’s all,” Sweet said brightly, and flopped down on the floor, her gaze intently on the feline, obviously expecting something really cool to happen now. Mynx couldn't help but smile at the expression on Sweet's face. The spell she was going to do was relatively simple, and wasn't really that cool, but Mynx couldn't help herself... Before she cast the spell, Mynx summoned a dozen or so various coloured Magelights, enchanting them to fly around the wreckage in enticing patterns. Smiling to herself as Sweet's eyes widened, Mynx closed her own eyes and began to focus on the spell. Timing. It was all about timing...At the exact moment that the Magelights flared and crashed into the center, Mynx cast the spell, repairing the car in an instant. Dispelling the remaining Magelights, Mynx blinked the brightness out of her eyes and grinned at Sweet. "Well? What did you think?" Mouth and eyes wide open, Sweet stared from the sparkling new Almost Dragonic Brand Carriage-Buggy Mobile™ to Mynx and back. “Can I…?” She pointed at the car, and looked at Mynx with question marks in her eyes. The sorceress nodded, and the child ran off to the car. Halfway she skidded and came running back. She jumped in Mynx’s arms and huggled her warmly, “You’re the best kitty cat I’ve eeevveer seen, thank you, thank you, thank you!” She picked a stamp from her pocket and stamped ACCEPTED on Mynx’s head, before she ran back to the car to play with it. Wincing at the claw marks in her back and the reek of burnt fur, it took Mynx a moment to become aware that it wasn't just her tail that was smoking. "Mynx?" Sweetcherrie asked nervously, eyes on the blazing tables. Mynx looked around and swore softly to herself. Just as she began trying to think of something, Thomas came running in with a bucket of water. "Don't worry!" he cried at the same time that Mynx yelled "No!" It was too late. Tripping over a stool, Thomas yelped as he fell forward, the bucket of water soaring in the air only to land on Mynx, soaking her and her owls. Trying not to hiss, Mynx spoke quickly to her owls, who immediately took off and flew to the kitchen, returning briefly with three large blankets. Taking them, Mynx hurredly began to mutter a spell, enchanting the blankets to become fireproof. As each owl took one of the blankets, Mynx picked up the third and flung it over the table, suffocating the flames until they finally died down. Coughing through the smoke, Mynx managed a rueful grin to the rest of the room's inhabitants, before conjuring a towel for herself and attempting to fix up her dripping, smoking, somewhat clawed form whilst Fountain and a very sheepish Thomas set about opening windows to dispell the smoke.

(OOC: This was too tempting to leave) IC: 14 year old Mary is the object of the aforemeantioned DJ's affection. Before the war, her parents were somewhat higher class, and so she has been raised to carry herself in a similar manner and as a result is often seen by the rest of the children as being aloof or "snotty". She finds DJ amusing and intriguing, all the more so since her parents keep the two separated, but she doesn't know if she actually likes him. Quiet and well behaved, Mary does whatever work she can to help but draws the lines at the tasks her parents raised her to believe as "Men's work". People often mistake her for being older and she enjoys this small level of power it gives her.

Mynx jumped slightly at the explosion, both from the sudden noise and the stabbing pains in her shoulders as her owls tensed. "What the -" was all she managed, before she saw the pair of flying crows and the abunance of soot. With a soft sigh, Mynx continued with her work, knowing it would eventually be her job to clean up the remains of the kitchen.

In regards to Mr & Mrs Smith, It's definitely an action comedy Wyvern. The plotline is that "five or six years ago", Jane Doe and John Smith married, neither of them aware that their spouse is a contract killer. As the marriage begins to drift apart, both are given the same task by their bosses that eventually has them crossing paths and finding out what the other is, before their bosses give them 48 hours to eliminate each other. 's highly amusing

Mynx bounces in, ear-bell tinkling softly with each bound, before tacklehugging Jareena and submitting her to kittenish snuggles. I know your writing style, girl, and you are far from pathetic! Glad to hear you're aiming to go public! As soon as I'm done with my exams I'll take a looksy.

Mynx growled and ground her teeth together. "What the Bob is this? A birthday present?!" Reaching up to the ring, Mynx gave it a tug, intending to break the small silver band. All she got from her efforts was a sharp pain. Mynx had once meddled with a spell on her form that was intended to effectively make her flesh inpenetrable. It hadn't worked, instead it had ensured that she could bring no harm to her form. Typical, she thought with a sigh. Only the Rune Mage would craft an earring that was seamless. And because he had put it there, she couldn't remove it. Resolving to deal with it later, Mynx continued about her work, each step and turn of the head accompianied with a quiet 'Tink' that was almost lost in the crowd but echoed through the feline's sensitive ears.

Gryph and I went to see Mr and Mrs Smith the other day. Definitely not an Oscar winner, but not bad either. It was amusing and easy to watch and presented in a manner that only helped its cause (I have to admit if they had told the story differently, it probably would have been less entertaining). Highly amusing, not to be taken seriously, but if you like ogling Brad or Angelina, this is definitely a goer. *grins* "We've been together five years now -" "-six-" "...Five or six years now..."

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Everyone was talking about regret. What did they mean? Something we felt bad about? I felt bad about a lot of things. I felt bad about the time I got mud on my dress when I promised my mummy I wouldn't...I felt bad about the time I took my sister Sharon's mirror and broke it...I felt bad about the time I left the gate open and my puppy Sparky ran away... But feeling regret for what I did to my family? Why? Ash told me I wasn't bad... I helped them...I stopped the yelling... These people confused me. At least I had Ash. They finally turned their questions on me. I stared at them. Ash always says don't talk. I haven't since that night, and I wasn't going to now. Besides, they were getting angry at what the talking people said, so me being quiet should have been a good thing. ...They didn't seem to see it this way...

Mynx noticed Ayshela's silent plea and couldn't help but smile to herself. Stalking quietly up behind her friend, Mynx placed a large jug of steaming espresso with an already full cup next to it, before murming softly into her friend's ear: "Will this do? Or would you prefer the IV?"

Ah, the joys of being an "innocent" (hah hah) ten year old who doesn't know any really bad words *grins*

The lady wouldn't stop yelling. She seemed really mad about the dead person. I didn't get it. Everyone here seemed to hate the bad people. Wouldn't they be happy for us to die? All us bad people had were each other. But none of them wanted to admit that. I looked silently at the guards, wondering if maybe they set this all up. I knew we weren't liked. I kept thinking of the strange noises I heard last night while I was in my room, wondering what would have caused such...doggy noises... Closing my eyes, I looked for Ash in my mind, a tiny smile across my face as I felt his comfort wrap around me.

I remained silent as we were unloaded and taken into the waiting room to see the doctor - but then, I always remained silent. I could tell that the other people here with me were surprised to see a child. I wondered what they had done to be brought here. One of the ladies wouldn't stop laughing at first, while the other kept staring at the men in a funny way and pushing her chest in their directon. I didn't really understand it. My mother used to say when I was older she would tell me. ...I wonder who will tell me now...

Happy birthday to you Falcon! And also to my friend Ian, Michael J. Fox, and Johnny Depp... Popular day, ain't it folks

CONGRATULATIONS! *hits Ayshela with a flying tacklehug and proceeds to snuggle her into kittenish oblivion*

Mynx paused in her serving of drinks to watch Cryptomancer's second performance. She joined in when the others clapped, and as she passed the table he had returned to she conjured up a 6 shot white mocha for the Rune Mage. "Your fav," she grinned at her friend, already continuing on as she called over her shoulder. "Congratulations! Und viel gluck!" Weaving through the crowd, owls hooting softly, Mynx soon found herself bumping into Zariah. "Hey!" the feline grinned. "Great night! Everyone seems to be really enjoying themself!" "Thanks, I'm glad it's all working out," Zariah managed a tired smile of her own, before clearing her throat softly. "Hey," she began, "um, who was that guy you were talking to earlier? He kinda ran off in a hurry." "Yeah, I'm a bit confused myself. He said his name was...Nyyark? I'm not sure...I think my owls intimidated him." Mynx was about to continue when she heard three simultaneous cries of "Waitress!" from three different corners of the room. With a rueful grin to her friend, Mynx picked up her tray and went back once more to work.

I was used to travelling in these old vans. The fun had worn off long ago but I didn't complain. I never complained. I was a good girl. The men in the back with me were funny - they kept trying to talk to me, asking me if I liked kiddy things like ponys and barbie dolls. I think they thought I was quiet because I was scared. They soon stopped asking me questions though, they didn't like the way I stared, I guess. No one seemed to. But I wouldn't talk. Talking is what caused the trouble in the first place. It's all my family would do...except they used to yell. So much yelling. I had to make it stop. I closed my eyes and thought of Ash, my angel. My mother used to think Ash was my imaginary friend, but whenever I tried to draw him to show her what he looked like, she got a strange look on her face. Said that angels were nice and white, not black. But she didn't know. With a jerk, the van pulled to a halt. The men jumped out - I think they were happy to get rid of me. As I stepped out of the back of the van and made my way to the building with one man on either side and another leading, I couldn't help but wonder if this was going to be anything like the last place I was in. No matter if it was. Ash would protect me. Ash always protected me.
