  2. Hesitant sign up for me. I'm about to begin my exams so can't devote a whole lot of time but I should be able to remain at the very least active in the more basic of terms. Right...character... -Name: Katelyn Smythe -Sex: Female -Age: 21 -Basic appearance: Caucasian, tall, slender, green eyes, short blue black hair. A fan of interesting emo-goth like clothing. Cynical. -Background: Katelyn grew up in New York with her well-off parents until, when she was 16, they died in a house fire that also destroyed everything they owned (as they were too cocky to even bother with insurance). Broke and orphaned, Katelyn was sent to live with an aunt she'd never met in Harrison County. Unaccustomed to having to actually apply herself, Katelyn found herself out of high school with the most average of grades and no potential prospects for her future, aside from the job she holds precariously at the town's local bar. She misses the big city and dreams of going back, but unless she can find someone rich to marry she knows this isn't going to happen anytime soon. Her change in lifestyle and environment has left her cynical and bitter, and although she has often started a number of fights, she had held enough good sense to keep herself without a criminal record.
  3. A small army of kitten minions swarm over an empty booth in the Conservatory, painting it a rainbow of bright colours before attaching a sign to the top that reads simply: FLYING LESSONS 10 GELD Seated happily beneath it (amidst a few minions that decided to stay) is CheerMynx, a bright grin on her face as she waits for her first customer. OOC: Pay ten geld to learn how to fly! I'm gonna wait for a few people to pay before I reveal the secret...will make it more fun this way I hope... Disclaimer: It is not the kitty's fault if you hurt yourself because you do not follow her instructions to the letter.

  7. OOC: Co-written with Phoenix, set back when Megwyn died. Sorry it's a little out of place, but we both got attacked by RL... Jagkatha had watched the fight helplessly from her unseen form. Her heart wrenched when she saw Megwyn impaled on the tree by the arrows and without thinking she'd rushed forward to try and remove the arrows from her beloved's body. She let out an unheard cry as her hand passed through them and into the tree. Pulling away, she stepped back and looked around to see if she could attract any attention. When she heard Meg speak to her, she turned and stared at the dying woman in shock, unable to move as she stared into the dying eyes and for a moment felt them connect with her own. Then the light was gone from Megwyn's eyes. The fellowship continued, and Jagkatha remained, kneeling before the ranger's fallen body. The sadness she felt was like all the other emotions she had experienced since death - there, but so deep seated that it was impossible to deal with them as one was able to when alive. She stayed there for what felt like an age, unmoving, when suddenly she heard a voice behind her. "Jagk..?" Meg's voice broke. She had hoped that somehow, Jagk was still with her, but had never allowed herself to completely believe it was true. "Hey pretty..." She couldn't speak more. Mutely, she lifted Jagk away from her lifeless body, and folded her into her arms again. With a sigh, Jagk relaxed into her, winding her arms hard around Meg's back. After what seemed an age, Meg lifted her head. letting go of Jagk with one hand, she reach for her hairpiece, and carefully unwound it. As Jagk realised what she was doing, she helped, and then they both wound it into Jagk's hair. Meg smiled, and stroked Jagk's cheek, then ran her hand into Jagk's hair. "It looks good on you, sweetling... you always were the pretty one..." Laughing softly, Jagk kissed Megwyn, the simple act of the living an entirely new experience when dead. They stood in the field and held each other, time no longer taking precidence on their lives as they enjoyed the second chance their death had granted them.
  8. I'm gonna throw CheerMynx into the mix again as well... Just because I can
  9. Sign up as many as you want. If they're antisocial it just means you're going to have fun writing them into a date *poofs off to class*
  10. It might be a lot of dates but you get a geld prize for each one written. More on that later though. And Sweet you covered the basics wonderfully

  12. Taking the lead from Morty, a rather dashing, if dirty pirate stepped forward and swept his hat before him in a low bow. His lean figure stood tall, dark hair and eyes matching his black clothing, and a long scar etched the side of his left cheek. "Y'aaarrgh, I be Swift-Blade Mckinter of the galleon of the Shadowed Ship." Grinning toothily, the pirate rested his hand on one of the (visible) swords that rested on his hip. "If any of ye scurvy curds need to ask me how I got me' name, ye'll soon learn the hard and painful way." Winking at Morty, Swift-Blade stepped back and waited for the rest of the pirates to introduce themselves.
  13. Mynx and Patham wandered through the carnival, their heads close together in discussion as they made their way to the Conservatory. "I'm sure it was here last time," Mynx insisted hesitantly, her eyes searching for any signs of the old posts that had disappeared beneath those of the more recent. Patham just shrugged and pulled a rolled up piece of parchment out from his shirt, trying not to trip over the small hoard of kitten minions that seemed enfatuated with the owl scent he carried about himself. "We may as well put it here. The worst that can happen is that we get told to move it." "Point." Mynx nodded as the two arrived at a vacant booth. Checking to see that it was in a public enough place for their liking, Mynx took the parchment from Patham and, with a wave of her paw, duplicated the message. The two stuck one on each side of the booth, before they stood back to examine it. "I think it needs a banner," Mynx mused, conjuring a large one as she spoke. Passing one end to Patham, the feline lept up onto the booth and with claws imbedded halfway up a supporting post, began securing one side. Patham watched as the large feline climbed across the beam and attached the other side of the sign, before she leapt down to land gracefully beside the shapeshifter. Surveying the display once more, the two nodded and went about their separate ways for the time being. Beneath the large banner that proclaims the coming of the Carnival's Bachelorette Auction, the smaller signs read as follows. That's right ladies, it's time once again to sign up for The Mighty Pen Carnival Bachelorette Auction! Bring along as many female personalities as you like so that our male population can bid for an evening (or a day) of your precious time. Signup closes two weeks from today so be sure to sign up soon!

  15. Hmmmmmm I saw X-Men 3 tonight and...yeah... Okay maybe this will work best if I explain my opinions on the other two. I really disliked the first one for various reasons but I found the second to be entertaining enough. The trailer for this one looked awesome so I was pretty much sold. X-Men 3 was okay I guess. Kinda inbetween the first two. For random action it's highly enjoyable and for the most part the effects are top notch (except fot anything associated with Angel. His wings sucked - but maybe I only noticed it cos of my classes *shrugs*). My biggest peeve with it is that it started out promising not to pull any punches...and then chickened out at the last minute. I won't go into details to avoid spoilers but yeah... So I guess what I'm trying to say is my opinion about this film is...I have no opinion beyond 'meh'. It was entertaining, and I don't regret paying the money to go see it (okay okay, Gryph paid. And I don't regret that either ) - I won't be getting the DVD. (BTW - Where the frig was Nightcrawler? Vacation?!)
