Cool World This film is Who Framed Roger Rabbit? on an acid trip. One of those "lets put a human on a set and surround him with cartoons" attempts, the plot (if there is one) revolves around blonde bombshell Holli Would (If she could. Geddit?) and her attempt to escape the "doodle" world of Cool World into our "noid" world (I'm always going to assume that the term doodle for cartoon came from the action of random drawing as some of these critters are weird and that the term noid for humans is just...I dunno a shortening of humanoid?). While amusing, this is one of those movies that really needs to be viewed under some form of inebriation as there are otherwise too many stupid things that distract you from watching (especially the ending. It was all too...convenient). Seriously. Acid trip. Oh. And there's a very young Brad Pitt staring in it too and Kim Basinger as the noid version of Holli...not sure if that makes this thing more or less desireable. General debate agrees that she's cuter as a cartoon. As for the concept of a cartoon Brad...mneh.

Excuse me for iscolating this one statement but I just have to ask - How are the guilds sucking energy away from the Pen when no one is using them and the main reason for the debate to remove them is because of their lack of use? The way I see it, the Pen would be just as quiet right now with or without the Guilds.

Dreams broken on the road In the midst of their escape Shattered by the hand That gave the dreams their shape Dreams broken in the heart Sharded pieces on the floor Mingling with the tears and blood Mourning that which is no more Dreams broken by the maker Who promised such joys in jest Building up hopes to tear them down Till the soul has nothing left "The lies live in the shadow"

Another thing to note is that when doctors figure out the time of conception, they always start counting from your last period. So that means that they start counting the child's existance two weeks before it is (typically) even conceived.

I don't know why but this makes me think of a scene in Bryce Courtney's "The Power of One". At one point the main character is enjoying his simple friend's rabbit stew and the friend makes the comment that "Rabbit goes meow meow, I go bang bang!" The line that made me laugh afterwards was the character saying he finished the stew anyway - it was just that good My 2 cents of randomness for the day

Chiko sat up in a tree to hide from Sav, aware that he could climb tees if he found her but also aware that the squirrel rarely looked up unless he was chasing something flying. Breathing a small sigh of relief, the tanuki began to preen herself clean of all forms of paint, glue, shinies, etc while she watched everyone below debate as to who might have dipped the Pokemon monster. The young tanuki's attention was especially attracted by Lupus. He sure does seem to know what's going on a lot, Chiko wondered to herself as she hugged her tail close. I wonder what Niko thinks. Glancing around once more for Sav, Chiko streaked down the tree and scampered off in search of her sister, pausing only to attach a post it to the backs of the Alex's that implored people to "Ask them about cake" OOC: Accusing Lupus/Gyrfalcon

Chiko let out a loud squeak as Sav hit her from behind. Staggering around as the squirrel tried to tickle her back, Chiko managed to throw the squirrel off and bolted, chattering madly, into a nearby bush. Once there she shapeshifted into a rock with her tail still visible, and huddled in the dirt, tailed wrapped tightly around the painted part of her to hide it from view as Sav came crashing through the bushes. Looking around in confusion, Sav bounced back out of the bushes and began to chase after a green coloured butterfly - maybe it had the same mark! Returning to her normal form, Chiko looked at the mark now on her back and her tail. Using a piece of paper and her tail as a stamp, the tanuki transferred as much of the mark off her fur as possible and onto the paper. Once she was satisfied with the result, she bounced off in search of her sister and pounced on her. While the two were wrestling playfully, Chiko stuck the paper onto Niko's back and waited for Sav to notice.

Sorry guys I've been really sick these past couple of days and I don't know when it's going to let up. Will try to keep playing but it's a game of chance for me right now

Noting on something Appy said earlier, I also have issue with the current setting of who can see what. When I first came here there was a clear progression of what you could see as you moved up the ranks, but now it appears that once you move to Initiate you can see almost everything. *shrugs* If everything's going to be rearranged anyway, as it seems to look, I'm not sure I can think of any decent way to say *what* I want...only that I've noticed the changes and I'm not entirely sure I like them all. Having said that, the Pen will always be a home for me to escape to and I love being able to write and post here, as well as the friends I have made throughout my time here. I think the idea of rearranging the Pen could work, but I'm going to wait and see what the 'final' suggestions are first before I come to any definitive conclusions

...The somber mood of the morning's discovery was broken by a high pitched chattering noise as Chiko raced across the clearing to try and escape Sav, still unaware that her tail was covered in blinking lights as the hyperactive squirrel chased the funny fluffy moving sparkly thingy...
-
Seeing Sav's rabid searching for a clue, Chiko jumped into some bushes and began rustling around. Pouncing on a passing butterfly, the tanuki attached a post-it to it that read "Clue" and sprinkled some glitter over it so it sparkled. She then released it into the squirrel's general direction. "Oh Sav! Sav! Shiny shiny!" the tanuki squealed and pointed.

Chiko and Niko huddled together by Bugs' feet as they stared at the wreckage, their usual playful behaviour stunted as toons around them began to talk in loud voices. Niko stared at her sister (and wondered why she was looking at a sticker on the other tanuki's forehead that claimed her to be Niko...wasn't she Niko?). "Somethin' bad happ'n?" she asked, eyes wide. Chiko looked around her and nodded. "Somethin' bad bad. Toons're angry" The two huddled together, tails wrapped around each other as they waited for everyone to stop yelling.

CheerMynx sighed regrettfully as she landed gracefully on the grass. She'd hoped more people would have been willing to try their hand at flight - the cheerfeline just couln't understand how anyone could miss out on something so like, totally cool! - but she had a date to get ready for and didn't have the time to man the booth any more. Ooooh my date! CheerMynx thought suddenly, momentarily distracted as her exciteable mind began to leap from one idea to another for Thomas' date. With barely another thought to her booth, the cheerfeline began to bound off to her quarters to plan her date. OOC: This thread is closed as a carnival activity but feel free to still give flying a go if you want. Geld will only be awarded to those who made any attempt however but i need a day or two to decide if anyone deserves more than the standard 20 Hope you all had fun, I know CheerMynx did

Especially as it was a new arrival to our halls that first noticed the piracy.

I always figured they made the bathroom floors white so that when you came to cleaning it you could see what you had to clean... But that's just me being randomly logical...
