(tentative sign-up... again ) THEME: living eletronic gadgets WOLVES: living eletronic gadgets planning to take over the world NPC: Roger Myuss, eletronic gadgets fanatic and, at times, creator, completely unaware that his prized "toys" are alive and have quite a life when he's not around. Well, that's the summary So, in other words: all players will be eletronic gadgets, whatever ones you can come up with. Creativity (remember Vene's Christmas lights in last WW?) highly encouraged!! They all belong to Roger, in one way or other -- how they came to his hands is also open to your creativity. When Roger is around they keep their activity to a minimum, so he is not aware that they are actually alive. Roger Myuss is, to say the least, a bit odd. No one knows where his money comes from, or what he does for a living. He lives in a set of rooms over a rather isolated warehouse at the outskirts of the town, and apparently the warehouse is also his. Passer-byes report having heard weird noises coming from the building, as well as bright flashing lights. Some have even speculated that he's contacting aliens. The truth is simpler, though -- Roger works at home most of the time, immersed in program development for a gaming company. He is also an "eletronicgadgetsholic".... he will buy or somehow get anything that catches his attention, and he also creates his own. Think of him as being part-(young)Dr. Brown (from Back to the Future movies) and you'll get an idea He even has some gadgets that he has no idea what they're used for... Sign-up is open for around a week or until I have enough players (considering 7 as minimum, the more the better!). I don't have much time free, so I'm also apologizing in advance for any slip in schedule... And many thanks to Venefyxatu for giving me the idea for the theme!
-
mm... Vene gave me an idea, and also said he'd play... so we might have enough players I'll start sign-up and see how things go. Edit: sign-up posted here.
-
Hm... I'm willing to mod again, if we have enough players. I don't have a theme right now, but I'm sure I can come up with something Who'd be up to playing?

Good work! Mynx was Grinch's agent -- even if unaware of that. Savage was the baner, Giles the Seer. And Vene/Rudydur gets the prize of most beloved Christmas lights ever... since *everybody* wanted to visit him last night And within the same 30 min or so... Werewolf Protection Savage Dragon Dec 29 2008, 01:13 AM WW Kill Mynx Dec 29 2008, 12:42 AM Re:WW Role Giles Jordan Dec 29 2008, 12:35 AM Happy New Year to all! (Who's next?)

Unknown to most, Santa also had his own secret resources. Although he did not like the mutterings and finger-pointing among his trusted workers, he knew that it could be used positively -- to make any possible agent nervous and, maybe, make mistakes. And so it was that while walking back to his office, Santa saw Daffyd doing his best to court a lamp post. The glittery reindeer was obviously drunk, and Santa was reminded of the few times the other reindeers, including Rudolph, had indirectly complained about the vanity and behaviour of that last addition to his team. Hmmmm... vanity is a powerful driving force... Santa proceeded to give an amiable slap on Daffyd's rump, which resulted in a startled screech from the part of the reindeer. Without giving him time to wonder much, Santa striked in a conversation about glittering hides and nice male reindeers, and how nice Daffyd's hide was and how he had wondered where he got that nice effect so he could get some for Rudolph too... "Oh... not that difficult really... *hic* ... " Hearing the name of his beloved soulmate and immediately picturing how simply beautiful he would be with a glittering coat to match his, Daffyd just went on talking about the last day off he had and how lucky he was to meet that somewhat weird neighbor Mr Grinch who offered the services of his own personal coat-glitterer for just some smalll favors like forgetting a back door unlocked, after all what was so harmful in one small, forgotten door open at night so that someone could slip in a gift for Mr Santa... ~~~~ OOC: check the OOC thread

No problems Patrick, enjoy the holidays and New Year celebrations! Let's hope you have the chance to play the grumpy packaging elf in another occasion, it sure seemed a rather interesting character Mynx, as you voted for Patrick before he excused himself from the game, maybe you'd like to change votes for a "valid" one?

I won't have much time tonight, so I decided to change phases earlier -- and anyway, this was the time it was supposed to change if I had not got delayed yesterday No kill might mean some things... Who knows what happened? *grins*

Work seemed to go smoothly enough, if one considered the time of the year. Assembling elves were assembling, packaging elves were packing (with the occasional grumbling due to odd-shaped gifts), reindeers were prancing in the fields between their physical conditioning sessions, Christmas trees were being cut according to carefully planned schedule, and Christmas lights everywhere were blinking happily, sometimes to the sound of music. Santa smiled, and proceeded to read the letters. Some of them he put aside for closer inspections, others he just sent to the Factory. All the while, he thought about Joaquim and how he was faring, but soon he received a big mail bag from the South Pole and nodded in satisfaction -- all seemed well and on schedule this year. He spared some minutes to think about the Grinch and his constant threats, and decided that maybe a Christmas Gift would make him happier. Still thinking about it, he sat down on his desk and started drawing something that could fit Grinch's spirit. On the background, he heard some splintering sounds, and some breaking sounds, and a few yelps and grunts. Arching his eyebrows he waited, but as nothing else came along, he just shrugged -- there have always been small accidents, and the Cleaning Elves would take care of that. ~~~~~~ OOC: there was no kill last night. It's Day Phase, you have around 48 hours to try and find Grinch's agent -- good luck!! More at the OOC thread.

Dice chose the victim! Mithrandin/Joaquim was lynched today. Note that, due to the setting, it wouldn't really fit to have the lynchees dead... Santa wouldn't allow that! So they'll be just sent away under one excuse or another. Lynchees can still post if they wish, and even interact (maybe through letters?) but please do not interfere with the game! Wolf kills might become ghosts As stated before, roles will not be revealed for now. Good luck! Players Venefyxatu - strand of Christmas lights around the window Patrick - Grumpy, a packaging Elf Mynx - Daffyd the Glitter Reindeer Giles - Snow Miser Savage Dragon - Thomas, the Christmas tree guy Mithrandin - Joaquim Silva, postman assigned to Santa's post office lynched

Mrs Santa came in with a broom, efficiently sweeping all dust into a big bright pink bag. As her broom got entangled on a loose wire, she took it in her hands to look at it more closely, frowning. "But what is this now? Dear Santa uses to have all kinds of bits and pieces around, but a piece of wire here?!" She yanked at it and Rudydur screamed silently, closing virtual eyes and praying the wall wouldn't let it go... "Oh... but these are the Christmas lights! Who could have unplugged it?" She took a duster from the pocket of her apron and dusted Rudydur thoroughly, then plugged it back. "There, now let's see if you work..." Meanwhile, there were increasing murmurs and whispers among all the workers and helpers, all of them wondering who could be Grinch's agent and starting to point fingers at the grumpiest of them -- after all, grumpiness fit Grinch better than Santa. Santa did not approve of that kind of talk, and sighed as he saw that he would have to do something about it. Noticing that one of the targets was his postman, he discreetly pulled Joaquim aside next time he saw him. "Joaquim! Listen, I need someone who can deal efficiently with letters sent to the wrong Pole and that need to be redirected here to the North. I think you can do it for me!" Joaquim blinked, not sure what Santa meant. Later that day, as he boarded the next sleigh headed to the South Pole, Joaquim still wondered whether the reassignment was a sign of his good standing with Santa or the other way around... ~~~~ OOC: dice decreed that Mithrandin/Joaquim was the victim of the whisperings. It's Night Phase, Specials please send me your targets in the next 24 hours! Details in the OOC thread.

Sorry for the delay, but now I think we're ready to go back to schedule! As we have six players, we'll have one wolf (Grinch's agent), one Seer, and one Baner. As an extra twist, I will not be revealing the roles of the lynchees/wolfees... let's see how this goes I'm PM'ing the roles in a few minutes. Everyone should be receiving one PM so if you did not receive yours, poke me!

Mutter, low at first then becoming louder and louder, interrupted Santa's breakfast. He frowned, and looked quizzically at Mrs Santa. Before they could say anything, an Elf Helper burst through the door, panting. "Mr Santa, Mr Santa... it's a disaster, we don't know how it happened... we don't know..." After he calmed down his helper, Santa heard the news: one of the hardest workers at the factory, Octopy, had been found hanging from the ceiling lights by three feet. His other five were all mangled, knotted into each other, and the poor creature was in a state of shock. Mrs Santa rushed out to take care of the poor octopus-Elf, while Santa himself grabbed some tools and went to the factory. Once there, he examined everything in the crime scene thoroughly, and twice more, before sighing. "I don't know what happened either, this will need more investigation. However, I do not exclude the possibility of Mr Grinch having prepared some surprises for us once again. So please, be double careful, and let's see that we do not fall behind our schedule!!" ~~~~~~ OOC: Game's on! It's Day Phase and you have around 48h to try to find Grinch's agent. Check the OOC thread for details please.

Seeing that it's Christmas Eve and there's still people who did not have the chance to post, I'll be sending the roles tomorrow night. Have fun for now And a Happy Christmas to all!! *turns Vene/Rudydur on again and sits down to admire the effect of lights on Daffyd's coat*

Santa looked around, smiling in a satisfied way: everything seemed to be going well and on schedule at the factory. Elves were busily either assembling or packaging gifts, and he could see here and there his assistants checking that each present had the adequate tag to be delivered to the right boy or girl. There were others sorting the letters that he would read and then cross-check with the Good Behavior department. And, at the House, Mrs Santa was busy preparing an adequate lunch to keep her husband's good shape (and weight). Nodding his approval, Santa left to check on the reindeers stables, and on his way he also checked weather forecast for Christmas Eve. All around him, the hustle and bustle of workers and helpers definitely announced the arrival of the festive night: Christmas was at the door. ~~~~~~~~~~ OOC: Game's on! Free RP phase for around 48h, see OOC thread for more details

Players so far... Venefyxatu - strand of Christmas lights around the window Patrick - Grumpy, a packaging Elf Mynx - Daffyd the Glitter Reindeer Giles - Snow Miser Savage Dragon - character to come Mithrandin - character to come It's the bare minimum for a game, so let's hope a couple more people sign up I'll post something by tonight or tomorrow night hopefully, starting a free RP phase (not lots of time right now). Sign up will be open until first NPC kill (should happen in the beginning of next week), when roles will be PM'd.

There's a tentative sign-up here. "Tentative" because I'm not sure we'll have the minumum number of players...
-
Alright, let's see if we manage to have enough players For this game, the setting will be Santa's House and Factory. You're allowed to play anyone/anything (use your imagination!) that fits this setting except Santa and Mrs Santa. Anything else goes: elves, reindeers, general helpers, staff, animated toys, whatever your imagination can come up with I'll leave signup open until the weekend at least. Between the 24th and 26th we'll have an extended phase to allow for the celebrations. I'd like at least 7 players... so come and sign up!!
-
It surely did! Specially because we interacted "on-the-fly", that was really fun. Hopefully we'll have more chances for that, it's a pleasure RPing with you
-
I have an idea for a Christmas-themed one, but as people are usually busy at this time of the year, I need to know how many would be willing to play a WW that will spread probably through Christmas If you agree on playing at this time, the period from 24th to 26th will most probably be a longer phase to accomodate for the celebrations Let me know if you can/want to play it at this time. Otherwise, I guess we'll have to think of new games for January
-
Great game, thank you so very much for the fun!! Just sorry that by the last days I didn't have much time to write... though Vene poked me into answering his last tirade trying to prove himself innocent *grins*
-
Millie pondered on Ezekiel's words, and sighed. "Well... I think that I can't really see your point. Maybe it would be different had I been born at the court, but as it is I think you are quite out of your mind, thinking like that. But, in spite of that... if that's what life is for you and if you are happy with it, I wish you luck." She cut a big slice of cake and served it to him as dessert, and added with finality, "Just do not mess up with the lives of people here... and remember that any life is precious." Without giving chance to Ezekiel to reply, Millie turned and went back to her pans and pots. It was clear that, in spite of his apparent frankness, she was not completely sure of his non-involvement in the attacks. However, I really wish he is innocent... he could still learn so much and see life for what it is...
-
"I think that at the court you just lost the notion of what life is." Millie served Ezekiel more stew, and looked him in the eyes. "You have no idea what life is. And if you had not been so secluded, maybe you would have learned with us that there is motivation and happiness without the need of power, wealth... land might give you a better insight, but just if you work on it. Not by just owning it and making other people work for you."
-
Millie blinked, staring at Ezekiel completely surprised. Surprised, but not in awe. He might be, or have been, a nobleman, but for Millie the world was actually divided in two kinds of people: decent ones, and not decent ones. Ezekiel could have been the king himself, but she would not treat him any differently because of his station. Because of character, yes, but not because of titles. "Well, well... please, if you care to sit down?" She pointed to a small but neat table in a corner of the kitchen, and signaled Cathy to bring food and refreshment there. "I don't have to know, actually. I have never really cared about you or your origins before the beast's attacks... however, once they started, I think it's quite natural that we start wondering about those who were not born here. You see, we started suspecting even those who we know since the day they were born... I do wonder why you are so secluded, if it's not pride. And anyway, why are you here? Why would they send you away from the court?" Millie served him generously while talking; her statements and questions were neither timid nor aggressive -- her tone was plain conversational. Then she sat down with Ezekiel, without pressing for immediate answers but clearly waiting for some kind of reply.
