  1. Hehehe... I like playing evil sometimes That's Mira: arrogant, ambitious, evil... I just hope to escape being lynched first thing in the game
  2. Upon hearing the announcement, Mira just arches an eyebrow, keeping her own counsel. However, the glint in her eyes shows exactly her reaction, as the slight smile that can be seen. The most promising... who should I keep an eye on, then? She surveys the other students, noticing quickly that most of them do the same. Hmmm... better be careful. Too many thinking that they are the best ones... and of course no one is better than myself. The teachers know that. I know that. And whoever of the others who don't know that... is a stupid. Stretching lustily, giving all the impression of not being surprised by the announcement, Mira turns to leave to her training. Without looking behind, she opens her hand and her light saber, left on the table, comes to her. Knowing that some of her rivals observe that with envy, she smiles to herself and leaves to the Library to do her Force training. There are many tricks in that book... I will master all of them. Every single one. No one else has enough skill in psychokinesis for that...
  3. Thanks, Gryph It was inspired on a funny dialogue between Deg and someone I really don't remember... about half a year ago, I think. It was fun to read and write that
  4. I wrote this some time ago, after observing a talk at IRC... I think it fits here CHANT OF THE SITH Anger leads to hatred, hatred that hungers for power. Power will bring victory, victory based on fear. Fear the fear, oh weak mortals, the most powerful weapon there is. Hitting the strongest valiant warrior, deadly wounds the faithful heart... Shivering, trembling, they'll cower away, babbling in fear, surrendering to chaos. And victory will come, sweet and bright Riding the waves of fear unleashed. ~Tanny
  5. EST = New York time. And, if I'm not wrong, EST = GMT -5 Right now, it's... hm... around 9:45pm EST... if that helps you... (Timezones can be mighty confusing! ) ~Tanny
  6. Sweetcherrie, the Minstrel Hall is visible just for full members. As for IRC... sorry, can't help you as I use mIRC... but probably someone here may have ideas. *hugs* ~Tanny
  7. Weekends are slow... if we leave at least one more night, maybe we get more players
  8. *laughs and hugs Mynx* We've missed you, kitty! I wonder how a pompom wielding CheerMynx would fare in the Sith Academy... (Maybe you'd drive the Headmaster crazy... the ultimate Jedi weapon!)
  9. Kasmandre, your last post if just perfect for the 'death'... thank you Your RP of Good Bennet was great! Now I can't wait to see what you'll do with Fxz'et.. *hugs* ~Tanny
  10. The End... So the game ended, with the wolves winning - congratulations to Gryphon and Lady Celes!! It wasn't mentioned, but last night kill was Good Bennet/Kasmandre; I didn't think I could write it in a good way to make justice to Kasmandre... but, if he wants to post something related to it, please do it! 11. Brother Caire approaches Bernard Gui. "Brother, I have something rather important to tell you." The two Friars disappear into the Abbey where they sit in conference for several hours, stopping at one point only to summon Brother Mathieu to join them. He arrives carrying a large number of pieces of parchment. Several hours later the Abbot is startled by a knock on his door. Opening it, he finds Bernard Gui flanked on either side by Brothers Caire and Mathieu. In his hands Bernard Gui holds the parchment given to him by Brother Mathieu. Bernard Gui introduces to the Abbot Brother Caire of the Dominican Special Inquisition and explains that Brother Caire was sent to the Abbey to deal with reports of spreading evil amongst the Friars. It appears that a number of them had taken access to heretical works available in the library of the Abbey. "I hold in my hands signed confessions from all those who were involved. Their confessions have granted them absolution in this world and their spirits are now in the hands of the Lord." Bernard Gui says. The Abbot stares in horror as the 'evidence' of his Friar's corruption is layed out before him and Bernard Gui takes pitty on him. "You are not to be held accountable for this corruption Lord Abbot, those who's gaze is fixed so firmly on Heaven can sometimes miss the corruption that is happening around them. The blame is laid with Satan, not you... We will however require that the dangerous knowledge in the library is placed into a cell and walled off so that it can never again spread corruption amongst those who stay to worship here." With that command given Bernard Gui, Special Inquisitor Caire and Brother Mathieu make their exit from the Abbot's offices and the Abbey. Elsewhere there is heresy to seek out. The InquisitIon's job is not complete yet... In fact, it has just begun. ~~~~ OOC: (Thanks, Gryphon, for writing the last piece!) Congratulations to the wolves... please see the OOC thread for details. The thread is open for last posts from anyone - thoughts/actions from the living, journals/other pieces from the dead. I'll post an epilogue eventually.
  12. Sorry for the lateness, guys... my Internet was down... Night phase is over, but I don't have time to post right now. I'll be back soon witht the results ~Tanny
  13. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! *flying tacklehugs* Happy Birthday, valiant partner (you must be, to try to sell any Almost Dragonic™ products...)! Maybe we can take advantage of the Valentine Ball to celebrate your birthday also?
  14. Tanny gives a last look at the unsteady pile of arms and legs, then giggles softly. Reaching out to earth, and finding a thread of energy linked to Door, she weaves it into the pile, assuring that just a violent opening or closing of Door will make them fall . Turning to Akallabeth, whe grins. "Just making sure that no applicant gets buried by those... unless, of course, an applicant barges in in Wyvern-like style." lol Welcome again to the Pen, Akallabeth!! Thanks for your help in digging me out of those limbs
  15. Hey, Gryph... does Mynx enjoy SW too?
  16. Mira Raiglan, from Onderon Born to Jedi parents, started Jedi training at the customary age of five. However, showed a too rebellious nature, refusing to accept the discipline necessary to follow the path of the Light side. At 15 she met a dark Jedi at a party at the Jedi academy on Dantooine, who introduced her to the Dark side. Finally lured into accepting what already was second nature to her, she entered the Sith Academy at Korriban about a year later. She's been now two years in training, showing remarkable ability in the telekinetic powers of the Force. Passionate and quick-tempered, ambitious and vengeful, always ready to use her anger to kill, she lives by the Sith Code: Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall free me.
  17. Bernard Gui leaves the Pilgrim's House with a scowling, giving quick orders to the guards that are part of his legation. The Abbot follows him in a hurried pace, whispering, "Brother, please..." "He has been relapse. He has been absent. His reports stopped a while ago." He turns to the Abbot in a stern voice. "This Abbey harbors something dark, something of the Devil. There have been deaths and you haven't told me about them." The Abbot lowers his head. "Murder isn't within the scope of the Inquisition, Brother... " "Unless it comes as a result of heresy. I have the authority, Father. And I won't let the negotiations to be conducted in a place where the Devil lurks. My first duty is to investigate. Where is Brother Igottafiln?" One of the novices comes at a sign from the Abbot, and leads Bernard Gui to Brother Igottafiln's cell. Later, a bowed monk kneels in front of the Abbot, who gives him the Absolution. "There was no guilt on you, Brother... not in the root. But your acts ask for penance. However, Bernard Gui is your superior in the Inquisition, and you must obey him. Go in peace, Brother." Bernard Gui observes as Brother Igottafiln leaves the Abbey, escorted by three guards to be taken into the presence of the Superior of his Order. ~~~~~~ OOC: Brother Igottafiln/Eyremon was an innocent monk. It's Night Phase. Wolves/Baner, send me your targets within 24 hours. Choose wisely! Eyremon, you're free to post your trip Edit: Sorry, for a moment got confused abot the deadline...
  18. Ideas (for whoever mods that to sort out) 1) The Serial Killers are the 'guinea pigs' for a new psychiatric treatment; the wolves are avengers, people related to someone they've killed and who infiltrated in the group to take justice in their own hands. Seer is a serial killer who's an expert in security systems and got a way to use the hospital's system to spy on his companions. Baner is somewhat of a problem, but could be for example a researcher who took the risk of infiltrating among them to be sure that they didn't get the chance to kill each other. 2) The Serial Killers were hired by a Big Villain who wants to use them in his organization; the wolves are other members who don't trust the killers and infiltrated the group; Seer and Baner are infiltrated in the group and under orders of the Big Villain, to prevent the killers from killing each other. 3) The Serial Killers are all interns of a specialized asylum, who are carefully kept away from each other except for short periods for 'group dynamics' (those would be the day phases). There's a small group of doctors that don't believe they deserve treatment and who cleverly talked two of the inmates into killing the others, giving them the means for that. The Seer and the Baner can be two specialists (or whatever) who are infiltrated to investigate accusations of ill-treatment and breaches of security. I think any of those would work pretty nicely...
  19. Like a lawn to play Footbal... *LOL* You're great, Sweetcherrie!! *hugs* 25 hours to vote. Have you noticed that any phase you lose (for both sides) is a step towards doom (=losing the game)? There are just 6 players left...
  20. Scorecard Those in the Abbey... Kasmandre => Good Bennet, a slow 17-year-old Lady Celes => Brother Mathieu of Carcasonne, herbalist and assistant cook Akallabeth => Brother Rhys of Cwmhir, Cistercian copyist Knight => Brother Thomas, has taken a vow of silence Gryphon => Brother Caire, a Dominican scholar Eyremon => Brother Igottafiln, a monk from the inquisition ... and those who left Brother Adelmo of Otranto, first NPC kill Cryptomancer => Brother Benedicte, left the Abbey in penance Brother Venancio of Salvemec, second NPC kill Vahktang => Brother Adrian of the Adriatic, first wolf Katzaniel => Francis, fanatic's victim Venefyxatu=> Felipe, "The Eternally Punished", novice in seclusion ("lynched") Quincunx => Brother Thibault of Limoges, fanatic's victim Sweetcherrie => Brother Gulzar of Babylon, the Seer dragonqueen => Brother Alcott of Lilbourne, fanatic's victim NPCs several servants, played by Katzaniel Bernard Farhaven, young scholar, played by Damon Inferel Brother Joseph, also under vow of silence, played by YanYan Ganaffi Brother Phillips Hue, blacksmith, played by MeThinksUFoolish any characters posted by either Quincunx or Ozymandias The inactive players have been placed as NPCs. Sorry but, as I said... it's not fair to any side to have inactive players to account for.
  21. The night is restless for most of the Abbey, few servants being able to get a good night's sleep, and most of the monks spending more than half their sleeping time in prayer. Near the time of waking up, however, instead of the soft ringing of bells and the "Benedicamus Domino", there came a shout. "Smoke! Help, help!" There's a commotion throughout the dormitory and the pilgrims' cells as the shouts multiply. Coming from under the door of one of the cells, a thick, greenish smoke steals out slowly. Two monks manage to get near enough the door before suffocating, and throw it open. Other two come, with nose and mouth covered, and enter the cell. Soon they come out coughing, stumbling and dragging out the unfortunate brother who slept there. "Not fire... just... smoke..." About an hour later, as the last traces of smoke finally dissipate, the Abbot listens with bowed head. "Something burned. We don't know how, or what. But it asfixiated Brother Alcott." And a thought comes, haunting, to the Abbot. The Fifth Trumpet... smoke rose from the Abyss... "The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss. When he opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke from a gigantic furnace. The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss. And out of the smoke locusts came down upon the earth and were given power like that of scorpions of the earth. They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads. They were not given power to kill them, but only to torture them for five months. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes a man. During those days men will seek death, but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them. The locusts looked like horses prepared for battle. On their heads they wore something like crowns of gold, and their faces resembled human faces. Their hair was like women's hair, and their teeth were like lions' teeth. They had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the thundering of many horses and Chariots rushing into battle. They had tails and stings like scorpions, and in their tails they had power to torment people for five months. They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek, Apollyon." (Revelation 9:1-11) ~~~~~~~ OOC: Brother Alcott/dragonqueen was an innocent copyist. It's Day Phase, and you have about 45 hours from this time-stamp (around 6pm EST on Thursday) to post your accusations. Dragonqueen, you're welcome to post as an NPC copyist, if you wish. Or to have Brother Alcott thoughts revealed in journals, if you prefer... you know the rules for 'ghosts'. Sorry for the lateness... I had some trouble to post. Scorecard at the OOC thread. (late edit for font after board change)
  22. Vahk, you can go on posting from the POV of your big sister... and no one knows if you really died at the pool... Gryph, I suppose that some little part of your story has been posted at the end of last day phase? Anyway, you are always free to reminisce... and, if you get killed or lynched, maybe to either have some diary pages found, or to muse things while you travel or are in penance or whatever I plan for that occasion (if it happens). The same is true for all players, by the way
  23. Themes for WW are always the choice of the mod I want to keep the TV serials for myself, but if you want to use the serial killer theme, it's quite okay, Katz. I've updated the "mod master list" at the Q+A thread, so... this discussion can go there.
  24. *hugs Sweetcherrie* Next one I mod will be the TV Serials of the 60's, as I have promised when I chose the theme for this one. And the serial killer's one, that I mentioned as a joke, seems to have attracted attention... so... okay, it is scheduled also. Now, a question... does anyone want to mod next werewolf (open theme), or may I go on after this one ends? It's up to you, really... I enjoy modding as much as playing (lately, maybe a bit more ) ~Tanny Edit: I've just received a request from a volunteer to mod next game... Deggy will be around for next one
