  1. Be welcome In a hurry now, but PM you later. ~Tanny
  2. Signup is officially closed. There will be an NPC kill tomorrow by noon, probably, then first Day Phase start. Keep tuned! Roles will be sent soon. If you don't receive a PM by the time the kill is up, you are a villager. If you have any doubt about your role, PM me. ~Tanny
  3. A gentle wolf nudges the dejected kitty, unbalancing her skillfully enough that she plops into the floor in surprise. And a second later, she's holding an armful of wolf and feeling the soft, warm fur in her hands and arms, besides being nuzzled and licked until she starts giggling because of the tickiling. Good, kitty. Talk what you want, as much as you want. We're here to listen to you and to lend you our shoulders, don't you worry about that... oh, and to hug you also. *hugs* It's my personal experience that beginning college is a big change. I would say that you will adapt little by little, but I guess you know that... it's just hard to change so many things about our life at the same time. But you should know that you aren't alone, and that there are people who will help you to go through that period. Believe in yourself, and that you did, and do, your best. No one is perfect, and there's not a problem in needing a second examination to pass on something; it just shows that you had some trouble and worked succesfully to overcome them. It holds true in whatever you take - trust the word of a college teacher! Don't be more demanding on yourself than you deserve, kitty... you *are* good, just believe in it. A good person, a good writer, a good student. I have reasons to believe in all that, and more . *hugs once more, and pushes a big stuffed phoenix into your arms* I have a friend who believes stuffed animals are a great help... hug tight until you feel better. Then switch to some*one* else to hug We love you, kitty. Don't forget it. ~Tanny PS. And listen to what people are telling you!
  4. Yay! *tackehugs* Happy birthday, HappyBuddha! Have a Buddha-tastic day!! *helps you to your feet and hugs again*
  5. Vahk, I suppose you posted here by mistake... to make things easier, I'm just quoting this at the game thread, okay? ~Tanny
  6. ~~~~~ (Vahk posted at the OOC thread... by mistake, I suppose)
  7. Some people have asked me where/when this game takes place. So... let's say... Mid-sixties. After JFK's assassination, and while the Beatles were at the top. As for place... well, let's say Hollywood. Also, as a reference, the TV has just made the transition to color transmission... so, make-up and lighting would probably still have some trouble
  8. Stephen Seelvergh leaves Mr. Erwin Aylen's office with a frown, and soon calls a meeting with everyone involved in his show. And he means everyone, from the stagehand and voice-over to the actors and actresses. As he enters the room, he surveys those with whom he's been working these last months. He winces when he sees Marisa Hawkins sitting besides her young son. A promising boy, but... does she have to be always with him? Not many would agree with Stephen's opinion about Benjamin Hawkin's talent, but he was a cute boy. And they needed his innocent look in the show... "Good morning." Stephen nods, favoring Debra Thompson with a wink and a broad grin. "I just wanted to pass on that Mr. Aylen is very happy with the show, and he is sure that you will all do your best for this next season." I am not going to tell them how he yelled and banged on the table, wanting better audience ratings. "However, he does wish all of you to make a special effort in the episodes this season. The rating is increasing slowly, and he wishes it to get higher without much delay." He wants them to skyrocket, that's the truth. "But the point is, if the results of the next few episodes prove him that we are already working at our top capacity, the show will be cancelled." There are some loud protests and a general murmur that doesn't abate completely even when Stephen uses his director's glare. "So, this is the news: we have done a good work. But we need to do our best. Our very very best, and we know you can do that." He notices that most of them understand what hasn't been said: if the very best isn't enough, they will be replaced. And, nodding, the director dismisses the crew and actors with a wave of his hand, almost shooing them towards the set. Dictatorial? Heh, you haven't seen anything yet, boys... * * * At the set, the crew and actors go about their tasks. The script for the week's episode is checked, the technical crew either complaining or sighing while the actors go over scenes or make-up details. Stephen Seelvergh seems to be all over the set, checking lights and props and being a general nuisance for the crew and a minor annoyance for the actors. Episode Summary: The Pilot A small ship crashes in the planet, and as the HMS Incorporated's crew goes to investigate, they discover an alien who claims to be able to get them back to Earth. In reality, he wants a female from another caste to mate with and has no idea if his own ship is still apt to fly. At the end of the episode, there's an earthquake that swallows both the ship and the alien, burying them under tons of debris. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OOC: Go ahead! This is free-RP phase, and will last around 48 hours or until most players post at least once, whichever happens first. Sign-up will be accepted for the next 24 hours, then roles will be sent. Edit: grammar
  9. Welcome to Werewolf XVII! You are in the set of a typical fantasy/science-fiction TV show from the 60s - the "kill-the-monster-of-the-week" kind of show. All of a sudden, accidents start to happen... for among the crew and actors, there are those who are at the service of a rival studio and will do anything to disrupt the production. Who will find the villains, and who will help our heroes? Who will save our heroine? Stay tuned... Our players are: Sweetcherrie => Lizzie French, elder actress Deggy => Ezekiel "Zeke" Thompson, cameraman Kasmandre => "Creepy" Kas Johnson, gaffer Akallabeth => Doug Matthews, stage carpenter/handyman Gryphon => Terry Walkworth, special fx Ozy => John Thessalonian, sound effects Lady Celes => Tim Price, voice-over Quincunx => Marisa Hawkins, stage mother Venefyxatu => Emmett, make-up Knight => Bernie Frankowitz, The Agent extraordinaire dragonqueen => Debra Thompson, budding actress Vahktang => Isaac Heinlein, head writer Gnarlitch => Buzz Beckenstien, actor Dean => Don Cornelious, music director NPCs Wyvern => the Ghost of Paul Gotliebb Nipkow, NPC Stephen Seelvergh, the director => NPC available to be used by any player in their posts Erwin Aylan => the Executive Producer Important Notes the poll/sign-up thread will be used as OOC thread; PM alliances are not allowed; day phases last 48 hours; night phases, 24 hours. RP is free during night phases, however no accusation/speculation whatsoever; "dead" players: feel free to be a friendly ghost (literally... you can interact with Wyv, who's the senior ghost ) and keep the RP; however, don't influence the living players in any way no stating of the roles OOC or IC; everything is done through RP; Wolves: under the pay of a rival studio, they work to ruin the production of the show; there will be 2 wolves; Seer: has contacts in all unions and most of other companies, and can investigate anyone working in the production of the show; Baner: someone who has once worked as a stuntman, and so can trick the 'wolves'; effects of baning: Baned Result wolves' victim no kill wolf if more than one wolf = normal kill; if one wolf = no kill anyone but wolves' victim normal kill Concerning the lynchings/kills when accusing, please add an OOC line clarifying your vote; respect the deadlines... during day phase, if there's not enough votes after 48 hours, there *might* be a short extension; however, once that is over, whoever has the most votes will die. If there's a tie, the lynchee will be determined through dice; same holds true for night phase: if the targets of wolf/seer/baner aren't PMd me in the 24-hour-period, they are forfeited (that is, there will be no kill/no seeing/no baning); as the number of players decrease, day phases may be shorter provided all active players have posted; If you have any doubt, don't hesitate in PMing your friendly mod (a.k.a. me ) Game starts next post. Sign-up is still open for the next 24 hours, then the roles will be assigned. The Show The HMS Incorporated, a small spaceship, crashes into an alien planet. The ship is broken beyond repair (or at least easy repair)... and every week a crazyscreenwriter creates an episode where they meet some dangerous, alien, impossible situation. And the technical crew and actors have to do their best to accomodate the whims of the screenwriter and the director...
  10. Signed up so far: Sweetcherrie => Lizzie French, actress Deggy => Ezekiel "Zeke" Thompson, cameraman Kasmandre => "Creepy" Kas Johnson, gaffer Akallabeth => Doug Matthews, stage carpenter/handyman Gryphon => Terry Walkworth, special fx Ozy => John Thessalonian, sound effects Lady Celes => Tim Price, voice-over Quincunx => Marisa Hawkins, stage mother Venefyxatu => Emmett, make-up Knight => Bernie Frankowitz, The Agent extraordinaire dragonqueen => Debra Thompson, budding actress Vahktang => Isaac Heinlein, head writer Gnarlitch => Buzz Beckenstien, actor Wyvern => the Ghost of Paul Gotliebb Nipkow, NPC Stephen Seelvergh is the director, an NPC that anyone can use in their posts. (Think of him as a prop to make it funnier ) Erwin Aylen, the Executive Producer, will be "my" NPC. He may be used as a 'shadow figure' as well in your posts. The theme of the TV show is a family whose spaceship landed in an alien planet. The spaceship is broken beyond repair (or at least easy repair)... and every week a crazy screenwriter creates an episode where they meet some dangerous, alien, impossible situation (Hey, it's 'kill-the-monster-of-the-week show!). And the technical crew and actors have to do their best to accomodate the whims of the screenwriter and the director Invitation to the screenwriters If any of you, player or non-player, has a good idea for an 'episode', PM me ... I can use them in my posts to describe the filming task ahead. It doesn't need to be a story, just a sketch is nice... like the 'story pitch', really. The game thread will be up possibly later today or tomorrow, starting with a period of free RP, and I will be accepting sign-ups during the first 24 hours. Guess that's it for now... if you're interested in playing, hurry up! ~Tanny
  11. Deggy, If a sick guy is a horrible person, then you're certainly not alone *hugs* It was a fun game, even if I was killed first night And mine will be up probably on Monday.
  12. YAY! *grabs Wyvern and swirls around the room wildly, absolutely happy with his great idea* Erm... ahem... *tidies his scales, grinning broadly* I'm sure we'll definitely enjoy your presence here, Wyvvie! *bounces out happily, after kissing Wyv's cheek* Ohh... Wyvvie as the official ghost... weeeeee!!
  13. Congratulations, Zariah... sorry for not posting directly (though I helped a bit in Venefyxatu's post), but I got some trouble in the way... If I have the chance, I'll still do it. *hugs* You'll be a wonderful addition to the Troubadors, I'm sure of it! ~Tanny
  14. Hmm... *looks at her watch*... timezones... heh! A wolf pads into the Birthday Room, and finding Sweetcherrie in there she immediately changes into her human shape to help her. After some time, besides the chocolate cookies and milk there's also a big chocolate cake and juices of all kinds, and a nice collection of assorted canapes near the pasta and grilled chicken. Not good enough to organize parties, but... Happy Birthday to you both, Zadown and MeThinksUFoolish! *huggles* ~Tanny
  15. Well, so I'm back with the promised theme... the TV serials from the 60's. Everyone is involved with the filming/production of a weekly TV serial, SF/fantasy-type -- you know, the "let's fight the monster-of-the-week" kind. There will be actors and technical people. The wolves are people hired by a rival studio to wreck havoc in the show, provoking accidents of all kinds to delay the production. The Seer is someone who has got friends and connections in all studios and the unions also, so they can get information easily. The Baner is/was a stuntman, so they can easily fool the wolves and escape uninjured. The Executive Producer is an NPC, but besides that you can be anyone involved with the show. PM alliances won't be allowed, however you can use PMs to create any background story/relationship you want. Game will start next Monday or Tuesday, depending on the number of people Start thinking! ~Tanny
  16. Well, with three players... game will be over tomorrow... so, just to sound it: who's up for that TV show WW game? (theme = The cheesy TV SF/fantasy shows of the 60's) I'll be starting a sign up, if you're still interested ~Tanny
  17. A black wolf bounds into the Cabaret, and upon finding the promotees list immediates leaves. She returns soon later pushing a food cart, grinning. "Hey, we need a party!" Congratulations to you all! And special hugs to Sweetcherrie, a great Werewolf player, and Venefyxatu, my partner in the AVV Quest! *hugs everybodyl* ~Tanny
  18. Sweetcherrie: yeah, I usually keep 48h for day phases and 24 hours for nights... unless there's few people. Each mod is free to choose the extent of the phases and the criteria for running the game. That last game of mine (The Name of the Rose) was pretty standard for my style of modding. And... you know... that Sesame Street one is a fun idea...
  19. Ntraveler2, or Shathward if you prefer... We haven't had chance to know each other, as I was a very silent person while you were around. As Mynx, I remember your leaving post... and if you're willing to come back, and be again part of our community, you're certainly welcome. Whatever breach caused your leaving should be seen as something from which to learn, and use as the foundation for something better and, why not, stronger... my point of view, at least. (I talk for myself and as an outsider, not knowing the details at all.) For my part, I enjoyed your RP posts at the Conservatory, for I've read some of the old threads before you left. I hope to see you around and maybe know you better. Be strong, and be welcome. As you sig says... the apprecitation of small things is important. ~Tanny
  20. Yeah... we almost drove the mod insane...
  21. Nothing personal, Gryph... but a very good IC reasoning Of course, there are still some hours for someone trying to change Mira's opinion
  22. Mira observes Fxz'et leaving, a slight frown on her face. Fxz'et... babbling? What is he after... ? Mira shakes her head, and decides to keep an eye on him. She follows Fxz'et until she's sure he's going to the hangar, her mind analysing what she knows and senses about her rivals. Rukmini... too stupid. And too obvious a choice. Palu, who went to the Jedi Academy... again, too obvious. Would any of them use the obvious to hide a Jedi mission? On the other hand... Jethray... an angry child. Isn't that easier to play than someone so stupid as that girl? Walking through the corridors towards the training room for some fighting, she sees Reaver Malice turning another corner. A thought occurs to her. He's a senior student. He has been here longer, known people longer... time enough to establish his position before striking. Why not him? OOC:A vote for Reaver Malice/Gryphon
  23. Let's say that I'm not in love with Rukmini either "What is that girl doing here instead of simpering at someone's foot?"
  24. I *suppose* we're in the introductory day phase... 24 hours before the first kill. But only Deg can confirm that By the way... if anyone wants to 'use' Mira in their posts, consider this: * she's arrogant and ambitious, and loves to present herself as cooly controlled even if she's annoyed. However, if she's truly angered, she will show it and use it to fuel the Force. That's she in her most dangerous condition, as she will kill with a pleasure and that will fuel the Force even more. * she never lets anything slip by her without response - that's the reason of her small trick on Rukmini; in her point of view, leaving anything withouth a clear response will make others see her as weak. However, she knows that they are tricks and that they don't mean anything. She hides her full strength very well, and what she shows in training is - usually - carefully planned so that the other students (her rivals) don't know what she's really able to do. Or so she thinks Who knows what the others are able to do, and how many play it the same way as she?
  25. Mira snickers, having heard Rukmini's last statement. Reaching the door, she looks casually over her shoulder and smiles coldy. Rukmini's black curls seem to get a life of their own, wrapping themselves around her throat with surprising strenght. As she gasps, fighting with her own hair, a pair of scissors float in front of her, giving her the chance to cut herself free. Rukmini squeaks indignantly, trying to counter Mira's trick. But she soon finds out that Mira's skill is way greater than hers, and that she can't divert the Force attacking her. The Headmaster eyes the silent struggle nonchalantly, not a trace of special interest crossing his face. Angry, Rukmini grabs the scissors though she can't make herself use them on her beautiful hair. Mira looks at her with condescendence, turning and leaving. The strands of hair relax, though they keep curled tightly around her throat. Mira's silent laughter haunts her as Rukmini stares at the pair of scissors, knowing full well that she has been slapped in the face. She won't even try to fight with me... coward! And deep in her mind, she hears again Mira's arrogant and scathing voice from some weeks ago, "Fight with you? A first-day student can do that and get you killed. I won't waste neither my time nor my concentration on you, silly creature." ~~~~ Edit: misspelt Sweetcherrie's character name, sorry ...
