Hey there girl..long time no see... vert well written indeed...very emphatic

DL_Snake slipped his arms around Wren's waist and guided her limp form towards a secluded corner in the ballroom. He positioned Wren's prone form so as to hide the fact that she was unconscious. Hearing the melody from Falcon's flute gave him a powerful jolt. That is one powerful charm spell. Thankfully for my paranoid nature...my mental defences are up he thought to himself. As he nimbly relaced Wren's bodice to cover her modesty, he felt a chill pass around the room. Snakes (pun not intended) were slithering all over the floor, hissing and flicking their tongues. What struck him as strange is that some of the reptiles had human personas in them. Fortunately for him, his mental defences were enough that he wasn't switched to another person, or another creature's body. He frowned as he looked about him, trying to figure out the spell involved. Using his magic sight, he noticed wild magic dancing around in the air and almost belatedly remembered Wren. Hurriedly concentrating, he finished his encantation just in time as he saw a golden nimbus surrounding his friend's head before the bit of wild magic reached her. Looking around him and noting the confusion surrounding the ball he shook his head in resignation. Extending his senses he ntoed with approval that Tiel had left before the chaos reigned. Even in a party, I've got business to settle he sighed to himself. DL_Snake trudged towards Gwaihir in Orlan's body. Using a summoning charm, he summoned Orlan in Gwai's body towards them as he moved. Realizing his mistake belatedly as the flood of female fans milled abuot Orlan's body in excitement. Throwing his hands up in exasperation he teleported himself out of the female crowd and glared at Orlan...or was it Gwai, as if it were his fault. Out of the corner of his eye he noted Yui's body but exhibiting Wyvern's usual clumsiness shadow walking from one point to another, knocking things over as he/she went. Seizing this opportunity to save Yui's body from further damage by Wyvern, he casted a body switch spell upon the stumbling figure. A cascade of energy flew from his fingers and surrounded Yui. Yui's body fell face flat onto the floor as DL_Snake winced in sympathy. I have got to remember that next time Finally he fuond Wyvern lying spreadeagled beneath the table What WAS Yui doing in that body?. Slowly regaining his consiousness Wyvern looked at Snake. "Argh, you! What did you do? I was having a fun time shadow walking, switch me back! PLEASE!" slobbered the lizardman. Snake ignored this as post body-switch depression syndrome (He just made it up as he went along anyway) and hauled Wyvern to his feet. "Wyvern, you were damaging her body," he said drily. Propelling the bulky lizard towards his tray of devices, he gestured to Wyvern. "I'm gonna need your help, Mr Scientist. I don't have enough energy to do individual re-swtiches, so I'm gonna need your devices. Please produce something that works for once, bro," the Elf's eyes twinkled at Wyvern as he looked imploringly at the lizardman. Wyvern said he might have something that will work and rummaged through his devices. Meanwhile, Snake casted a spell so that he, Wyvern, Yui and Wren will be protected in case something went wrong. "HEre, I have just the thing!" Wyvern announced as he produced a weird loking apparatus in triumph......

Snake untangles himself from TIel's arms as they danced to Purple Rain. He noticed something floating in the air and a familiar shriek. Glancing up, he saw his old time friend Wren and not so old time but still friend Wyvern floating upwards on a strange looking purple bubble. Quickly encanting, he concentrated as he arranged his thought patterns to recognize an enchantment causing the bubble. Ah-hah! Wyvern trick! he thought to himself. Watching the duo float upwards towards the chandelier, he waited patiently for the inevitable. POP! Wyvern let's go of Wren's gown as both of them begin their descent from 30 feet above the ground. Quickly weaving his hands in a complicated motion, Snake encants another spell and releases it towards the falling duo. The ground is coming closer! Oh, no! Is this the hour of doom? Is that why it seems that I'm slowing down? So this is how it feels like to have time slowed down as you die. Wyvern was quietly whimpering as these thoughts flashed through his mind. The crowd onlookers were gasping in astonishment as the falling pair were suddenly slowed before their very eyes. As they continued their slow but steady fall, Snake moved his hand and Wren't gown was adjusted to the proper modesty. Once planting his feet on the firm ground shakily, Wyvern immediately fell to his knees and kissed the ballroom floor, to the amusement of the crowd. The lady Wren walked over to where Snake was standing as he lifted his Slow spell. "Thank you, sir, for saving us from the fall and..." she trailed off as she looked at her old friend. "Hey, it's you!" Snake nodded and his face was splitted by a huge grin as he hugged Wren and kissed her cheeks. "It's been too many years, old friend. And you still look as beautiful as ever." Wren blushed and smiled appreciatively. "You don't look too shabby yourself. Why, last I saw you, you were dressed as a hermit in some stupid cave, hiding from Tiel," she said as she laughed. "I think Wyvern has got to work on his bag of tricks. THat bubble was pretty impressive though," Snake mused as he glanced at Wyvern recovering his composure. "Oh that! Stay here Snakie, I'll be right back," said Wren as she stalked to where Wyvern is and started doing some not very pleasant things to the half-dragon....

Snake hovers by Tiel's side as he looked at Sam and Peredhil talking. Excusing himself, he walks over to find Ayshela. "Er, good evening Ma'am. Actually I wasn't invited to this party, and I was hoping to lie to get pass your bouncers. You see, I heard that this ball would be the most happening place in town, hopefully you don't mind me gate-crashing," he admitted to the host(ess) as he bowed and awaited her answer. "Ah, DL_Snake is it?" "Please, Snake would do." "I am so pleased that you would honour me with your presense Master Magician, are you sure you were not invited? Perhaps it was late in reaching you," her eyes twinkled as she regarded the smartly dressed Man, looking discomfited. "Perhaps. I have been overdue for a visit to my home for quite awhile now. Plenty of businesses." Ayshela glanced over at Tiel and SNake had the good grace to blush. He nodded towards Tiel engaging DoomGaze in small talk. "SHe really is wonderful, no one has ever made me feel this way before. In order to carry on with my research, I had to exercise a lot of mind-calming methods just to concentrate on the task at hand. And she doesn't help at all by being there during the magical researches." Ayshela laughed merrily with a glint in her eyes. "Really? So you are human like the rest of us after all." Snake grinned and nodded as Ayshela excused herself to check on her other guests. He signalled a waiter for some wine and returned to Tiel and DoomGaze. "M'lady, a drink?" "Why thank you Snakie! Just what I needed!" Snake looked thoroughly embarrassed as DoomGaze laughed at the name that Tiel called him. Blushing red, he offered his arm to Tiel and circulated around the room as music starts.

Snake arrives at the entrance in his customary black outfit and stops as the bouncer looks him up and down. Patting his pockets, he found that they were empty save for a newspaper clipping he had found was interesting and kept there for ages. "Ahem, excuse me, I seem to have forgotten or lost my invitation card." Cold, blank stares answered him. Snake decides to try again. Waving his hands, he pantomimed invitation card, then dropping it. The bouncers were unimpressed. "Oh-kae, this is going to be hard." Snake looked straight into a bouncer's eyes. You will let me enter without question. Your mistress will be pleased Again, blank stares. "Hahaha, you should give up there Mr Snake, these bouncers are not susceptible to mind charms. Although I must say, your natural charms are already doing you justice." Snake turned around to see a magnificently dressed female Elf smiling at him. "Why, milady Tiel, so nice to see you here today," he said in forced calmness. He had been smitten by the Elf for a long time and never seem to be able to muster any charm he might have had whenever he was around her. Tiel nodded condescendingly and slipped her arm through his, waving her invitation in the air. "Cheer up, boys, he's with me." The bouncers bowed and allowed her entourage to pass with a bewildered Snake glancing around in confusion. Tiel propelled the stunned Snake over to where the hostess, Ayshela waited. "Ah, welcome to my humble party, please do enjoy yourselfs," she said in a lyrical voice. Snake bowed awkwardly, still feeling off-balance by having the object of his besottment holding him so intimately. The pair then wandered off to engage others in small talk, or rather Tiel did while Snake smiled a lot and looked happy. DoomGaze caught sight of the pair and waved slightly while Snake looked openly delighted to see someone he else he knew besides Tiel at the party.

praise from the half-dragon himself. I'm impressed =) lovely funny poetry my dear
-
VERY nice! I'm sure you'll be admitted very soon. I liked your poem, very real-life. I'm just confused at one part though, at Stana 5, did you have another typo besides quick? Do you mean "...most men play" instead?

listen to the big broter lectures hahahaah...parmy, you can scold her at home Me, although i don't like swear words very much, using them in poetry somehow conveys the true feelings of the writer at that moment. Perhaps if you wrote it at another time, you won't be so inclined to use them

Excellent poetry Arwen dear. However, me being the classical writer that I am, i'd think the first stanza spoils the flow a bit, cos you only have 3 lines as opposed to the aabb rhyming scheme you picked up, you got abb in the first stanza. Other than that, perfect! (Please pardon me, i'm a perfectionist, ya know i still love ya )

hmm, it seems to be an improvement. I like it, but have YOU decided yet Appy? =p

Snake strolls into the Courtyard, puffing with the effort as he was late. He heard some scampering as he reached the others. "hey i hope you guys aren't discussing anything that matters, cos i heard some people running away in the bushe earlier on!" exclaimed Snake. "SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Can't you speak a little softer, boy? It's no wonder tthat you're still an Initiate!" bellowed Wyvern. THe others who were looking worried at Wyvern's plan were slowly drifting back into the discussion, looking very interested now. "Okay, so tell me, what have you been discussing?" asked Snake. "As I was saying, those Scantivia Brothers are monopolizing the women in this organization. We have gotta get rid of them, as soon as possible. And I, have a plan!"announced Wyvern again, proudly. The others were grinning at the Elder. "Ah, another classic case of Wyvern inferiority complex. Can't have anyone else grabbing the attention away from you, huh?" sneered a voice from above them. Everyone gave a start and looked around wildly, searching for the source of voice, finding nothing. Wyvern gave a half-hearted chuckle and said, "Erm, relax everyone, that's just, er, my alter-ego, er, speaking." Snake looked at the half-dragon in amazement. "you mean, you've got an alter-ego?" "Well, what do you think allowed YOU to join the Pen, young one? It was the kind half of me!" At this point, several of the onlooker sniggered, it wasn't usual for Wyvern to actually admit he had a kind streak in him. Wyvern, looking a little put out, started to gesticulate and drew the others back into the point of discussion. "Now as I was saying, i've got this plan to get rid of the Scantivia Brothers.." A member of the Pen, Parmenion, sighed heavenward. "Not another hair-brained scheme from you surely! Don't tele me, let me guess, you'll make those acrobats walk the tight-rope, except the rope is 50 feet above the ground, frayed, and no safety net available?" Wyvern looked non-plussed. "Well, Parmenion, actually my plan was to introduce some ugly hag to scare them off the Pen's women forever, but your plan, hmm....in fact, I think your plan is miles better than mine!" Everyone stared at the Wyvern, thinking he must be out of his mind to be even considering the suggestion. But Wyvern winked.....

I wrote this poem in a rather angry mood, was mad at my friends, probably isn't that well-written

Do you still want me? Then why do you ignore me? Treat me like dirt on your shoes Oh yeah, let me give you your dues Are we still friends? Maybe not Cos if we were, you won’t let me rot Sure, you have your problems But you’re acting like those hoodlums When we formed our circle of four We’ll be sharing everything even a rumour But why is it now the two of you whisper And treat us like we’re not worth a simper I see you two talking away Throwing our friendship away Holding secrets you just won’t share As though we exist as only your spare So here’s my ultimatum Choose me or choose them I don’t care just tell me So I’ll know and I’ll see When we’re together would you rather be Somewhere else maybe over the sea? With those others you’d rather see Than this same old pitiful me

THank you you guys! Alaeha your comments cheered my otherwise dull day and Rhapsody absolutely captured my poem =) What can i say to arwen and sorciere except *huggles both*

Flowers bloom, and they wither But your looks, they survive the winter The sun rises but leaves at night As your radiance keeps forever alight A fair face, empty of wit Is apt to give me a fit but your beauty is to be coupled with An intelligence due to complete the gift All these days you cheer me swift All these days you make my heart lift Never ever will darkness loom S'long as I have your bloom Alas, alas, would that be true You make my heart oh so blue Would that you feel as I feel for you Not the friend you think in lieu
-
Feeling rebellious eh Vlad? hehehe You remind me of Calvin in the Comic Strip Calvin and Hobbes =) However, I want to make a point: I absolutely agree with yas!
-
It's nice, but I agree with Alaeha on that part. It will sound nicer because the syllables will sound more consistent
-
Very, erm, how do I put it, life-like? It reminds me of domestic violence, which I hate. This will surely touch the hearts of other victims. Well written sweet Elf

This isn’t the first time I crossed the line To reach to you To say I love you Why can’t you see? That you’re the one for me I haven’t felt something so true As the feelings I have for you Your man, where is he? I see him with another she Why do you persist That he’s yours and you’re his? When you have need I’ll be here Godspeed When you need hope You don’t need to find Pope. I am here, awaiting The day you’ll be seeing That I’m sitting here hoping That you would return my loving As I pen my last lines I glance at the times When I longed for you With a love so true But alas we’re through…
