  1. good questions, all. i wish the answers were as easy.
  2. runs away with Xaious to escape the madness of the week and find something FUN to do
  3. ... turns and looks at her daughters.. opens her mouth to say something.. decides on the better part of valour and closes her mouth again.. *giggle*
  4. Ayshela cast a puzzled glance at Salinye, then turned to look at everyone who had been indicated. Deciding she didn't need to wait to enter last, "on guard", she shrugged and turned to follow Salinye down the hall.
  5. mmmmm don't ask questions you don't really want the answer to, right? more bad things than you would EVER believe can be packed into any one day, and a week is just seven of them end to end. how about we flush this one along with the rest of the crap?
  6. especially when the only right thing you can possibly say is nothing. which.. is most of the time. and yet, how often is that same nothing equally wrong? *sigh* *shrug* *shutting up and going away, maybe thing will make sense after i've finally slept*
  7. Happy Friday and good riddance to another week
  8. slips in and sits quietly on the edge of shadows to listen, to hear, to see..

  10. **thank you** for posting this. good tips for all, and things the uninitiated wouldn't necessarily think of. fades quietly away into the shadows

  12. welcome
  13. you have an excellent concept here. bear that in mind when considering *all* comments, okay? i second Loki's suggestion, the grammar on the first line of the second stanza is off and "the path you chose" works much better. you have a viable rhyme scheme in the first half, which you have abandoned in the second half. if that was not a deliberate choice, some reworking for consistency (either way, rhyming or not) would improve its readability. i'm glad to see you posting. this is a good concept with a lot of potential.
  14. happy birthday Jareena! hope it's wonderful for you.
  15. and is that, somehow, not enough?
  16. Ayshela rises from her table in the corner and approaches the bar. Tossing the bartender a few geld she softly requests another scotch for herself and refills for the sadly dampened ladies. Welcome! Come in and join the fun. We don't bite, most of us, unless you ask really nicely.
  17. or even "or help when you have gone astray", though the original works for me. either way. the line that catches me is actually the next one, "when the signs have lied" and i find myself stopping, looking at that bit, wondering *where* on earth that came from... shrugging and reading on, because the rest of it *is* so good.
  18. Ayshela hurried in carrying an overflowing armload of birthday related things - party hats, noisemakers, streamers trailing out of her arms and off through the door behind her, a large box containing an even larger birthday cake (magical boxes are wonderful things), and a plentiful supply of napkins. Happy happy birthday!! Hope it's a wonderful beginning of an excellent year.
  19. Ayshela wanders through to offer her notably unsurprised congratulations, gently covers Wyvern with the tablecloth, then drifts out the door again. congratulations! definitely deserved, and equally unsurprising.
  20. true, they are. i hadn't noticed that. my bad. i don't know how you'd work humour into it either, honestly. it would be a dark humour at best.
  21. Ayshela spun and dodged the flying glass, escaping injury by fleeting seconds. Nodding agreement to Tamaranis's suggestion that their conversation could wait, she hurried to help the injured, lending what healing ability she had. Ah! Salinye had arrived at some point in the frantic activity. She could sort out what was going on with Tamaranis, though, come to think of it, she didn't look too happy. Ayshela cast the last healing spell she had, then stood to weave her way towrd Salinye. Arriving at Salinye's side as her attention focused on the young mage, Ayshela murmured to her "i really don't think he intended harm. It might be best to hear him out before you have his hide for the damages."
  22. mmm i think it works. that's much the way i feel when with my best friend, actually.
  23. some friend, to guide you to something so ultimately destructive.
  24. i like this. i found myself expecting the "somehow breathing" to follow the pattern of the first two, yet most of the senses are covered in the first two and "somehow breathing" does fit. i haven't really any suggestions, but i do like this.
  25. Most definitely. And by tomorrow night i should even know if i'll have time to give it a shot.
