*nod* i'd rather be beaten than yelled at.. bruises heal, but words never go away. astonishing how devastating lies are, and how deadly control is.

*nod* sometimes there are things which need saying, regardless. that doesn't ease the pain of having to say it. sometimes people don't follow the general rule of "don't ask questions you don't want the answers to" those answers are still painful to give. sometimes the answers are painful enough to hear that those hearing choose not to remain with the reminder, the source, of the pain. some things must be said, whether i wish to or not.. but i always wonder if this time, if i answer, will that be the last thing i have opportunity to tell that person? *sigh*

the cortisone shot is working, so i hopefully won't have a splint on my hand for long. depending on what the MRI shows, the knee surgery slated for this summer should be minor.

Don't Please don't look at me. i can't say this. i choke on the words, though i know i must speak. Please. Please don't look at me. i can't bear to see you so angry, so hurt, so concerned. Please. Please. Please don't look at me. i don't want you to see me so weak, so fragile, intangibly bleeding. But please, please, whatever you do, please.. don't leave. note: sometimes it's difficult for me to explain things to people i care about, knowing they don't really want the knowledge they ask for, knowing that if they *do* care that knowing will upset them.. and wondering, always, if when they do know.. if they will leave.

*nods* definitely more relaxed toward the end of the show, and it really comes across. Neat, neat show, i really enjoyed what i heard around getting dragged away to the phone. dumb question - did they tell you, when they trained you for the show, to pretend the mike is your best friend and you're discussing your topic *with your friend* - ignoring the possibility of a large audience? (Or am i showing my age here? LOL)

mmm. it was a pretty nice, if insanely busy, weekend - and when it wasn't nice, i managed to stifle the urge to kill. two good things.

read more as lyrics, it works very well. i haven't really any suggestions or comments beyond how much i like this. As far as the title, if you wanted to emphasize the deceit aspect, you might consider "Caught in her web" or something similar.

One reason it would have gotten no comment is that you had subtitled it "ramblings of an unknown author" leaving it ambiguous whether it was written by you or by someone else. Until that ambiguity is cleared up, it's unlikely to receive much comment.
