Ayshela wanders through the Birthday Room and, looking at all the cakes and candles, thinks that blowing them all out will be a tremendous job! Happy Birthday, hope it's splendid for you!

You are very welcome to add more! In fact, i hope you do! As an application post, the initial scene as described is sufficient. What i would recommend as a continuation is to copy your initial scene into a thread in the Hearth Room and post continuations there.

"OOOOoooooooooooh!" Ayshela murmured inaudibly as she sank silently to the floor to await the next installment of the story.

Ayshela begins reading. Soon, in her effort to stifle laughter long enough to finish reading, she finds the words blurring anyway through gleeful tears. Reaching the end of the application post, she collapses in a convenient corner in a most severe case of the giggles.

*nods* sounds like many of the arguments within my head.

very nicely done! the only line i have question about is this: Rhythmically it fits, but i find myself looking for an extra word to make clear which of the possible meanings you actually *mean*.

*laughs* How much do you need to write? Oh, a good solid scene or two, which you've done, and done nicely! Ayshela stamps the application Approved and pins it on the Members' Wall, then turns back to welcome the newest Tale Spinner.

i really like this. excellently encapsulated! the balance in conflict is very well handled. the only thing which catches me on each read through - i keep reading this as "neither loses, neither wins."a minor detraction in a neatly done piece!

Ayshela bustles through the door to the Birthday Room, pleased to find it set with comfy chairs surrounded by piles of books and stacks of CDs with personal players atop them. One end of the room has a large screen TV with game consoles hooked up and a large selection of games ready to play. Moving over to the refreshments area, she sets out punch, coffee, tea, sodas, and her very best special magical cake, guaranteed that each slice will be the recipient's favorite flavour. All else well in hand, she begins to hang the streamers and banners, wishing both Alaeha and Yuki Kokoro the happiest of Happy Birthdays! A very happy birthday, both of you, with warm birthday huggles! =)
