*laughs* was wondering how fast that one would go down =)

Well, hrmm. try this one.. Into the distance, a ribbon of black stretched to the point of no turning back a flight of fancy on a wind swept field standing alone my sense reeled a fatal attraction holding me fast, how can I escape this irresistible grasp? can't keep my eyes from the circling sky tongue-tied & twisted just an earthbound misfit, I ice is forming on the tips of my wings unheeded warnings, I thought I thought of everything no navigator to guide my way home unladened, empty and turned to stone

oh, yuck, i'm sorry you caught it too Sal! Nasty, isn't it? i keep telling the kids they're perfectly *free* to be as selfish as they want with their germs, but do you think they listen? *sigh* i've got one writing project about wrapped up tonight, will try to get a handle on two or three of the others here in the next few days.

Yes, the Storyweavers' guild will be having activities as well, though they won't be starting as immediately as the others simply because i've been sick as hell for a solid week and am focusing on keeping breathing, for right now. :-\

Merry merry birthday, da buh de buh de buh
Ayshela replied to Xaious, Master of Time's topic in Cabaret Room Archives
*laughs* you wouldn't, by any chance, mean Gyrfalcon and Solivagus, now would you? =) Happy Birthday to the both of you, i truly hope it's splendid! -
Ayshela blinks at Alaeha in surprise. Good gods, i see that the combination of wrapping up your Intro to Ethics class (aka How to Have Someone Else's Beliefs Crammed Down Your Throat), and helping Celiwyn take the kids to the waterslides, and sleep deprivation, has finally reached critical mass! You may want to revisit the question later.. or, you may certainly borrow a leaf from my book and, in refusing to accept the enforced passivity inherent in the question, refuse to accept the question itself as valid and thus refuse to answer.

as noted - "or the equally common fact that there are areas of the board reserved for those committed enough to the site to become full members"

interesting association, Regel, and not one i'd have thought of. i think this is related to the fact that one has to register to post, though why such a commonplace requirement should be a problem - or the equally common fact that there are areas of the board reserved for those committed enough to the site to become full members - *shrug*

A blissful, peaceful Happy Fathers' Day to the fathers here, and the fathers of those here.

*giggles* and perverse person that i am (or maybe it's the fever) i think i like the backwards version better
-
*nods* and i absolutely love that he captured that, because that dichotomy is an essential part of her character.

peals of laughter, mid-flashback to old commercialbrilliant, Wyv, absolutely brilliant! i found myself snickering madly through most of this set, but stopped dead at this.. wow. that's a very vocal silence, to speak such upheavals of emotion. stunningly *right*.

oh, how odd, i never thought of spasms and bile erupting as eating related imagery. O_o Dare one ask how that relates?
-
*laughs* and here i was thinking it was a phenomenal description of daily life.

sweet! neat to see how other people see the character. Thanks!

Ayshela has just finished hanging the last banner in the Birthday Room, which for the occasion is open and brightly lit with magically self-mending kickable surfaces scattered about everywhere. Turning back toward the table she double-checks: cake, check. Punch, check. Lots and lots of napkins, check. She whirls around as someone taps her on the shoulder, only to see Xaious standing there grinning broadly at having managed to sneak up on her. Stifling the immediate response, she shakes her head and laughs softly.. "Only you.." Taking him over to the table she reaches behind it to pull out a box. Opening it, he finds a brand new pair of black Extra Spikey Steel Toed Boots in his size. With a huge warm hug and best birthday wishes, she points out the self-mending surfaces and watches him head off to try them out.

The original version, as found in Pekkle's Bit. The road wandered past several houses, meandered around a corner or two, and eventually gave up and lead me to a settlement. I looked around for a moment, hoping to see an inn, or at least a tavern, but none were in sight. In my looking, however, I became distinctly aware of the people. Or should I say persons? The edited version and word selections: The (noun) (past tense verb) past several (plural noun), (past tense verb) around a (noun) or two, and (adverb) gave up and (past tense verb) me to a (noun). I (past tense verb) around for a (unit of time), hoping to (verb) an inn, or at least a tavern, but none were in sight. In my (verb), however, I became distinctly aware of the (noun). Or should I say (same noun, different form)? 1. Noun 2. Verb (past tense) 3. Plural noun 4. Verb (past tense) 5. Noun 6. Adverb 7. Verb (past tense) 8. Noun 9. Verb (past tense) 10. Unit of time 11. Verb 12. Verb 13. Noun and the individual stories. =) Alaeha: The walrus defenstrated past several pairs of Orlan’s pants, stumbled around a booze or two, and haughtily gave up and stampeded me to an orgy. I wielded around for one fifty-secondth of a second, hoping to fly an inn, or at least a tavern, but none were in sight. In my fall, however, I became distinctly aware of the steel toed boot. Or should I say steel, toed boot? Wyvern: The nation-wide tax fraud cheerfully slaughtered past several fans of Nekkid Mages, sexily massaged around a demi-god endorsed suntan lotion or two, and joatily gave up and imitated me to an ancient angelic prophet. I bodysnatched around for 0.000000001 nanoseconds, hoping to gently fan an inn, or at least a tavern, but none were in sight. In my being buried alive, however, I became distinctly aware of the ancient angelic profit. Or should I say angel’s ancient profit? Zadown: The Chaos Portal obliterated past several stampedes of angry demons, ravaged around a true name or two, and arrogantly gave up and conjured me to a roaring furnace of hellfire. I burnt around for an aeon, hoping to chant an inn, or at least a tavern, but none were in sight. In my smash, however, I became distinctly aware of the wossname. Or should I say who’s name? Peredhil: The coffee pot migrated past several shoes, flew around a plumed hat or two, and rippingly gave up and pulsed me to a silver hair. I loosened around for a pico second, hoping to is an inn, or at least a tavern, but none were in sight. In my isn’t, however, I became distinctly aware of the megabyte. Or should I say mega bite? Tanuchan: The old, torn book killed past several pants, beat around a pirate ship or two, and wholeheartedly gave up and dripped me to a trap. I chased around for a century, hoping to sleep an inn, or at least a tavern, but none were in sight. In my dream, however, I became distinctly aware of the tyranosaur. Or should I say tyrano-sour?

Melissa sat on the bench beneath the tree, slowly twisting a leaf between her fingers. Autumn was onsetting, bringing with it memories of her father and how he'd loved the fall. Life on the farm had always been an endless chain of things to do, everyone working together from the time they could walk. And yet, once a year, everything paused briefly. With the crops in and the harvest crews gone back home, yet too early for winter wheat, every autumn held a brief few weeks of gentle strolling through the changing world. Never since had she walked with anyone who took the time to see the changing shades of gold as grasses aged, or deepening purple shadows of sunset across the mountains. Looking at the leaf twisting between her fingers, she wondered how many shades of gold and orange he would see - and how many ways she'd realize how much she missed him. The wind suddenly pulled the leaf from her hand and whirled it down the sidewalk. She watched it fly for a moment, then rose slowly and followed it on its way. (apologies for how rough this is, i've not had time to draft it out and edit it but didn't want to let such a wonderful idea drop any further down the page.)

not ignoring the question, really, i just have no idea. *shrug*

okay, absolutely last call.. i was going to copy these all out last night, but.. i couldn't. i'm nabbing them this morning and will post the individual versions later, so if anyone else wants to get in on this round you'll need to move quickly.

*gleeful happydances* Thank you so very much to those of you who spend your time keeping this place running - and picking it back up and putting it back together when necessary. Your efforts are both noticed, and greatly appreciated. *huge warm hugs*

*laughs* i absolutely love these, Regel. You have an interesting take on things which is very refreshing.
