Ahhh, sweet! Bless you Zool!

Ayshela awoke as Nuncio stepped back through to her chamber, startled and a bit embarassed. Asking Nuncio to wait just a moment, she disappeared briefly and came back with Elladan's knives and Peredhil's amulet to return. She gave them to Nuncio with a warm tight hug and bubbling thanks, she hadn't had that much fun in YEARS! She watched him leave, then bolted her door, checked her security, and collapsed across her bed for a few hours. The next week was spent fitfully prowling and pondering. Cursing herself for an idiot for not just ASKING Elladan where he'd gotten the knives, she stepped his direction three separate times and sheered off to something else every time. Would he understand how much she'd loved them? Would he realize she didn't want HIS, just to know who made them? This was Elladan, hard telling. Better not to risk it. With a sigh, she continued prowling and pondering until Nuncio appeared again with a parcel. Odd. With a broad grin he unwrapped and unrolled a decidedly recognizable bear skin rug! Ayshela gave it one wide eyed look, then looked up at Nuncio, and they both burst out laughing! As he pulled a wolverine cloak out of the package as well, she laughed even harder at the thought of the wolverine now protecting HER as best it was able. Perhaps it would do a better job of protection in this form than his other? As Nuncio left again, slightly warm from the gleeful hugs of thanks, Ayshela giggled softly to herself. A date with a bodyguard guaranteed there'd not be a dull moment! What fun!

*giggles* your only miss, there. The knives would have been given back unasked, without question.. a loan is a loan.. Though you're spot on, that they'd be missed.

*tacklehugs Peredhil* You lovely wonderful sweetheart of a man! i haven't posted on the thread because i hit the end of it speechless with laughter and delighted with how absolutely PERFECT that was! *grins and giggles delightedly*

neat! intriguing concept. i really like this: and the echoes in "etch their vision" and "sketch of eternity" are neatly done.

Shana laid her hand softly on Amanda's arm, saying "I'm glad I'm not the only one adrift here. I'm Shana, and I'm really not even sure why I AM here. I don't seem to know anyone, and didn't recognize any of the names on the invitation or sign in sheet. Do you know what this is about? I'm used to being a bit confused, but this..." and she shrugged slightly, letting her words trail off.

it's been too long since time and thoughts and access to a notepad have all run this direction at the same time. Liquid eyes of golden green Ever watch your every move. Tormented by the pain you bring, Mezmerized by dangled hope. Endless crush of close held dreams Guarded by a shattered heart, as Onward flow the days.

Shana turned and looked up, a bit startled as she was gently bumped into. The lady seemed nice enough, if a bit flustered. Amanda, she said her name was Amanda. Shana focused on that thought for a second, trying vainly to fix the name in memory. I'm so BAD with names, I hope she'll forgive me if I forget. She was about to introduce herself when Amanda was, in turn, bumped into. She stood there, smile wavering slightly, feeling terribly out of place.

Shana's heels clicked rapidly against the sidewalk as she hurried to the door. Fumbling in her bag for her invitation, she caught sight of her watch and gasped in horror, realizing it was but two minutes before the time she remembered - yes, there it was! And she was almost late! She almost ran to the door, slipping inside just before time. The everpresent smile on her face faded just a bit as she looked at the names on the sign in sheet. How odd! Not a one here that she knew. Why... why had someone she didn't know invited her to a party with a group of strangers? Ensuring her half-mask was secure, she smoothed the skirt of her white silk dress and turned toward the room. Even if she *had* known someone she wouldn't likely recognize them now. She shrugged slightly. Oh well, there had to be *someone* to talk to! Turning the wattage back up on her brilliant smile, she slowly scanned the room.

if the chains were purely physical, perhaps so perhaps not
-
cannot chains be burst? or pulled loose from their anchors? Personally, i did not find that at all out of place. Echoing Peredhil - ouch. Well done.

Sal, hon.. i would hug you but if i did.. i would cry and the two of us soaking wet wouldn't do any good. so.. umm.. let's see. something nice.. it's sunny outside? there are flowers blooming? the neighbor's roses smell lovely? purring kitties are still remarkably soothing? hrmm. that kind of thing? *watery smile*

*sigh* doing this through a nauseating migraine, so please forgive any incoherence or brusqueness. Yes, alliteration is based upon sound, so where two letters have the same sound you can slide that in.. where a letter has different sounds you need to be very careful because the point is the flow of sound and aid to memory of the repetition of sound. A point can be made for repetitious vowel sounds, however in every *modern* definition of alliteration it is specified consonants. The 15 geld challenge exercise is to include alliteration as in the first exercise - at least three words per set - FOUR sets within THREE sentences, so one sentence will contain two sets, or if you decide to be really tricksy, one set can span from one sentence to another.

*pounces* Psimon Vaguely recognized? *vaguely* recognized?! Psilly Psimon! *huggles him ferociously* You *better* be back, or i'll just have to hunt you down and huggle you silly!
-
*bemused smiles* y'all are wonderful, y'know that? Alliteration is *defined* as "strings of words all starting with the same letter" though it need not be a long string and it helps if they make sense.. though for this exercise i allow a fair amount of leeway just to get y'all thinking along this line. The more tools you have in your writer's toolbox, the better off you are.
