  1. screams.. a lot.. when she's having a bad day?? O_o umm, sure! why not? O_o whatever you say... Thank you, all of you. *huge hugs* Best birthday i've ever had! =)
  2. well, hey, at least you weren't lynched first, eh?
  3. Ayshela has missed most of the commotion, being deeper in the house looking for Nave, Leif, and Merelas. It's an uncomfortable search, as somehow the shadows here feel threatening instead of safe and comfortable. Keeping to the dim edge she notices Celes return to the library. Good, best that book be found as soon as possible. Continuing deeper through the hallways she notices something rather odd, though. Gwaihir talking to himself? Well, perhaps that's not that uncommon. Gwaihir stumbling over apparently clear floor? No, that's *definitely* not that odd... but Gwaihir conversing with - nothing?? Or, at least, nothing that anyone ELSE can see? Now that's truly peculiar. Ayshela thinks for a moment and decides it's probably safer, at the moment, to continue searching and ask no questions. Better to ask when she's not alone, at the very least. Returning toward the library on her way to another set of hallways, she sees Gnarlitch, in a rage, hauling a barely conscious Celes from the library. Feeling a cold rage fill her she knew this had to stop NOW. Enough was a great deal more than enough. OOC: no accusation - yet.
  4. given the violence of the "vocal majority" i'd guess that those who support Bush simply aren't interested in having to defend themselves, their thoughts, their feelings, their preferences, and their right to live their lives to people who adamantly insist that from the president down all should die horrible ugly drawn out painful deaths. (and before the protest goes up, yes, i've left many a thread on many a public forum in disgust over the suggested "resolution of the Bush situation")
  5. OOC: hey, how separate do you WANT? I've been off looking for the missing! sheeeeeeesh...
  6. Ayshela throws herself upon Nave in breathless relief, asking: "Oh god am i glad to see you! Where have you been? Are you alright? What have you been doing? We've been looking for you, didn't you hear us calling?" She comes to a sudden halt, smiling sheepishly, and awaits answer.
  7. *nods* was expecting it to be extended until some more people kicked out their votes. *hugs*
  8. *hugs* trite to say "this too shall pass" and difficult for hearts to hear when nerves are but a tangled mass and bloody despair hovers near but in the blinded rage and pain keep sight and grasp of trusted friend whose heart holds still the sun, through rain and bears you safe through 'til the end
  9. *nods* Regel - that was why the question was not which would you choose, but WHAT would you choose? there are definitely more than two options available and i deliberately left every one of them open. my answer to this question is a bit more complex than for most in this series, so i'll have to answer this later when i have a bit more time.
  10. The faceless reflections in the window fade, as evening's lights bleeds from the sky. The unceasing pageant of memories strayed through her mind, deep behind shuttered eyes. Blank is the window that leads to her soul, lest someone should look deep within, for all the world sees is a bright, smiling whole, though she's broken, and bleeds for their sins.
  11. Ayshela looks over Vahktang's shoulder as he looks in the dictionary. Sardonic: disdainfully or skeptically humorous : derisively mocking looking at the dictionary, then at Vahktang, then at Lady Celes, Ayshela said, "How odd. That's not like Finnius. Disdain? Mocking?" With a look of deep concern, Ayshela continued looking for the missing, now keeping a very wary eye out for Finnius as well. OOC: A vote for Finnius
  12. Noting the interest in Salinye's Life Question series, and following up discussion with a friend, i phoned Sal to suggest this question. Posted here with her permission... Your Scenario: You've been diagnosed with a life threatening illness, for which there are only two effective medications. The side effect of one is blindness, the side effect of the other is deafness. What would you choose, and why?
  13. Reminded of you, I pause with a smile to remember your kiss and the warmth of your heart. They say it is true that we stay but a while, but I carry that bliss even though we're apart.
  14. A table at the coffeeshop calls me with promises of time and space to write of places that my heart would rather be and circumstances clear to inward sight. Far from the mundane drudgery I live with endless lists of things that I must do and constant pleas for more, as more I give until I'm spent, when finally I'm through - There is a place, or so my dreams insist, where friendship, loyalty and love are true. The draw it holds my heart cannot resist, though finding of such things remains quite new. A table there with wine and cheese and you, with time to talk until all time is through.
  15. Dawn within her soft embrace holds hope of brighter days, with glowing colours, gentle light illuminates the dark. Chasing shadows, dark and long with ever brighter shades of shifting light in jewel tones to tease the world awake. Dawn creeps gently into sight first muted, and then brilliant, chasing shadows from my heart as well as from the land. New line: Hold my heart within your hand
  16. Mynx, m'dear, i'd love to - but i hardly qualify! =) *hugs* i hope those who do see this and respond.
  17. Ayshela calmed Mynx, finally prying herself loose to speak to Finnius briefly and check on the others. Gwaihir was behaving oddly, speaking to someone or something only he could see, but then, Finnius was behaving a bit oddly as well. Shrugging slightly, she wondered for a moment who among them wasn't? Circumstances were certainly on the strange side. Thinking of strange, though, it was odd that no one had seen Dragonqueen or Leif or Nave recently. Concerned for their wellbeing, she set out to look for them, realizing belatedly that she could no longer hear Mynx. On the heels of that thought came Mynx's terrified shrieks, located finally as coming from behind a locked door. As the door burst open, Ayshela was swept aside by Tanny's rush into the room. As Mynx remained unresponsive, as feeling of despair swept over Ayshela. She'd lost Mynx in trying to find and protect the missing. Who would have thought Mynx could have been plucked from among the others, like this? Ayshela sighed deeply, then squared her shoulders again. With a narrowed-eyed look about, she determined once more that they HAD to find out what was going on, and who - or what - was behind this. OOC: no accusation - yet.
  18. "You mean, whatever affected Crypt is likely to have affected three people, because that's the normal pattern of such things? While i hope you're wrong, i have to admit i wouldn't be at all surprised. I'm just glad he'll be okay." One arm around a now semi-quietly sobbing CheerMynx, Ayshela gave an audible sigh of relief as she watched Crypt being returned to the manor.
  19. Stagger into another dawn, mug of coffee to warm my brain and brace my heart against daggers drawn, held close in hand to stall the drain of vital force and energy unfolding events often bring as each one takes a bit of me until there's little left to string the thoughts and words into a whole which makes the meaning clear to all, yet once more step into my role, forging forward until i fall. new line: picture perfect painted sky
  20. true indeed
  21. "oy, my ears! Mynx, breathe once in a while, will you? And stay close to me, so i can make sure you're alright." Ayshela continues trying to calm CheerMynx while Cryptomancer is tended to and returned to the Manor. Watching the activity around him, she begins to check her mental list of who all came through from the manor to make sure everyone is here and - well, *relatively* - safe.
  22. This one should fall between Halloween and Thanksgiving, right? Assuming that's correct, i'll play.. this is the beginning of Holiday Hell for me, but i should reasonably have a couple weeks' leeway here. Sign me on as Napheen, "nanny" to the Pharoah's children?
  23. beautifully, beautifully written, Crypt! *hugs* and well played =)
  24. Ayshela looked about in concern. Things had gone from fun to puzzling to worrisome rather rapidly. Looking about at her friends, those she knew and those she knew less well, she found the thought of accusing anyone more than slightly distasteful - and yet the necessity to find what was affecting them, and help them overcome it, could not be argued. As that thought crossed her mind, her eyes rested once again upon the ceiling and its current inhabitants. With a small nod to herself, she moved in that direction and said: "Crypt, you've been acting more than slightly unusual since we got in here. You're creeping out Mynx, and that's not like you at all. Let the book be, and come down here so we can make sure you're okay." Standing beneath Mynx and bracing herself solidly, she prepared to catch Mynx should she fall. OOC: regretfully, a vote for Cryptomancer
