Ayshela hovered in the edge of shadow awaiting Loki's appearance near the Cabaret. She had to get this just right, timing and trajectory both, or they'd crash painfully into solid wall. Ahha! There he was! Almost... almost.. NOW! Flinging herself out of shadow and tackling Loki, they went flying into the Cabaret and rolled across the floor to finally come to a breathless stop against the bar. With an impish giggle and an extra squeeze, Ayshela picked Loki up and dusted him off, wishing him the happiest of birthdays!

you know.. if i didn't know better i'd think you were picking images from my dreams and writing them here. eerie. you stopped me dead in my tracks on one line in each of these: having contemplated confusions of hot/sharp pain recognitions, this caught me with a smile and nod.and.. beautifully, precisely, elegantly captured and handed over whole.

probably the one question i ask most often, and in the most contexts. sometimes it's answerable. sometimes... i have to keep digging in hopes of finding answer. well, what's your setting for this? the things you might go looking for depend greatly on whether you're talking about a mid-forest hunt while camping, a small town, a large city, a mall, a convention, a county fair.. you get the idea.

Dear Pen Populace - and yes, that means you. All of you. When i fell in the gates of the Pen Keep almost two years ago now, i had no idea what to expect, and every guard and barrier up and locked against whatever might come to pass. What i found was the one thing i had no defense against - caring acceptance. I've been literally flat in bed sick for two months now, and what bothers me the most about it? Missing all of you. Your jokes, your thoughtful conversation, your words of wisdom and of care. Your elegantly crafted poetry and stories, and your raw encapsulated emotion. The shining glints of heart and soul within these walls brighten my day and lift my spirits, and i've missed you all more than i could begin to say. I realize most when i have to be away just how much you all mean to me, how much you add to my life. Thank you.

happy happy birthday! and hey, since you've been sick, and the roads have been icy, now that they're all melted they'll be all flooded, which gives you *more* time to drag it out and time to get all better, so by the time you're not sick any more you'll have had a week or so's birthday! With all due apologies for the lateness of this (I intended to have this posted days ago but have been flat in bed 18 hours a day lately).. The winners of the bachelorette auction! Some of the bidding was pretty fierce, and a few of our ladies have taken on two dates each. Since the purpose of this event was to have fun and get to know our community members better, part of this event will be the bachelorette and the winning bidder getting together to decide how they want their date to work. As a reminder, this can work one of three ways: 1. He can choose to have his partner write something about or for him. 2. He can choose to have his partner write up how their supposed date went - escapades most definitely in the possibilities with this one. 3. well, personally, *i* use the black skin because it's much easier on my migraine-prone head than the brighter blue or tan skins. I noticed the changes made immediately because the brightness of the red/orange envelopes, etc, made for glaring spots of brightness that caused a headache within minutes. If the only option were to use the black skin with glaring bright spots, or an all-over bright skin, i'd continue to use the black skin and simply cut my available time here. That's just an choice i've been very glad not to have to make. =(

*nods* not at all saying "bring back that skin" or anything like that, just noting that there *were* two available at one time, so it isn't likely that it's built into the board software to cap the available skins at three.

yupyup Rune had two set up for a while.. the current one needed some tweaking, and while she did that she enabled a skin which was black and *red* instead of black and *blue* and had the post author's name and post count and all on the right side instead of on the left. I used that skin for such a short time that i'm embarrassed to admit i don't recall the name of it, but it *was* available for use.

Silly question: there *used to be* two black skins available.. why can't there be again? for those who prefer the original, leave the original, and for those who prefer the new graphics, add that in as a separate skin option.
