  3. ooooh, the things i miss when Real Life interferes with Pen Time! *huge happy birthday hugs for Tzimfemme* i hope your birthday was wondermous!
  4. *laughs* sign me up for making coffee and tea! a couple of questions - 1. Will topics be assigned for either of the poetry events (open mike or slam)? 2. Is it either-or, or could an ambitious/undecided person sign on for both? 'shela the perpetually confused
  5. *reappears long enough to tacklehugs Oz and wish him a happiest birthday*
  6. sorry people, i've been dead sick the last few days and barely able to put two words together. seem to have missed a round, will try to catch this next one. i'm sorry.
  7. Kaitlyn flew through the Conservatory door at hearing the word "Headstands". Looking around, eyes shining brightly, she caught sight of Minta and Zool who were both decidedly upside-down. She jumped up and down, excitedly clapping her hands, then flung herself across the room amazingly tripping no one in her flight! "YAY!!! I LOVE headstands! Can I play too? Please please pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease????? I can do them really good! Watch this!" Kaitlyn did a quick somersault then straightened herself out into a very wobbly headstand, nearly kicking The Portait of Zool in the process. "Ooooops! Sorry!" she giggled, then took a deep breath and concentrated on steadying herself. None of this would have been unusual at all, had she not steadied herself upside down and promptly begun singing A Song That Never Ends.
  8. A rather cumbersome rhyme scheme, but a good message. I usually have a difficult time not getting distracted with the longer pieces (distractions are easily found, about my place, and *they* usually find *me*), but had little problem following this one through. Two things: You almost lost me on the first line, itself. It's awkward, semi-incomprehensible, and a bit long for the rhythm of the rest of it. also, who's = who isi assume you mean "whose" here?
  9. Sue leaned forward to look at the paper Mer had brought. "Yes, I've seen them all over the school. A nicely strategized smear campaign, don't you think? And he might be right, because while I don't believe Jenny knew enough to sabotage the cars Ricky might well and they *did* hook up remarkably quickly. On the other hand, I saw Ton talking with Duke, which seemed a bit out of character, and there's no doubt that Duke *does* know enough to have been behind the sabotage - though I don't know that he'd have been able to plan well enough to have gotten away with it cleanly. Ton *could* plan that well, though, as evidenced by his smear campaign." Sue leaned back and rubbed her temples again wearily. "This is all so confusing. The more I look at it the more it looks like there would have to be two people working together to do all that's been done. But who? Have you seen or heard *anything* besides Ton wallpapering the school with these?" she asked, tapping the flyer with one brightly polished fingernail. OOC: still thinking, will post again later tonight.
  10. Happy happy birthday! Happy happy birthday! =) =) *tacklehugs you both*
  11. wouldn't they be silver, since gold is soft and likely to bend?
  12. *hugs* yep, you made sense. i think you'll find several people here who also find that things make better sense when we try to write them than when we try to say them. welcome! Make yourself at home. The FAQ is at the top of your screen, the Manor of Tongues may be of interest as well, and feel free to drop a PM if you find yourself lost or confused. =)
  13. Sue drifted unusually aimlessly through her classes, the pages of her notebook beginning with class notes but inevitably trailing off to doodled geometric patterns. Bobby, Pete, Brown, Jenny, Dee - there had to be a connection outside of the Prom, but what? And what if there wasn't? She shivered a bit at that thought, but soon fell back into pointless thought. OOC: no accusation until Sue gets her eyes uncrossed from thought.
  14. *nodnod*
  15. *nods* i think you could lose "as this" from that line without losing meaning, while improving the flow from line to line. gentle, thoughtful - i like it.
  16. i *like* this!
  17. wouldn't the pirates playing with the demonic ducks of distractions be the ones pulling their feathers?
  18. wow, that would definitely bend my brain! =) good luck!
  19. Mira, you wonderful man, talented weaver of thought and emotion as spun through words. The tapestries you create enrich our lives, and are appreciated *almost* as much as you are! If i knew nineteen ways to say happy birthday, i would say them all for you with heartfelt wishes each. Since i don't, you just get the wishes for a very happy birthday and a wonderful year to come - full of experience and inspiration, peace in which to write, and contentment in good measure. *happy birthday hugs*
  20. *giggles madly* funny, i was just mentioning that pinata last evening... wise decision there, crypt.. very wise.
  21. would the pulled feathers of a demonic duck of distraction make good pens for writing evil stories to distract us?
  22. Hello and welcome! Hope you don't mind random flying tacklehugs, i'm afraid i've started an epidemic here but we're a friendly lot, if a mite silly sometimes. Feel free to drop a PM if you're lost or have questions that aren't answered in the FAQ (points to the top of the screen).
  23. Would it use distractions other than fluffs of bubbles in our faces?
  24. Ayshela meanders through the Cabaret Room, picking things up and putting them away on her way through as usual. Noticing another parchment pinned on the wall, she quickly checks it over for appropriate placement. Realizing what it is, she stands thoughtfully for a moment, finger tapping her cheek as the reflects on the possibilities. "Well, i don't really *need* anything, but i'd love to support Gryphon, so i'm in." Ayshela takes her favourite purple pen and signs herself up, then resumes her janitorial meander through the room.
  25. *tacklehugs* hey! hi, welcome back, congrats, and all that! glad to see you!
