  1. Peredhil strolls back in to regretfully inform Doom Gaze that Wyvern WASN'T in jail... And happily finds a new Initiate. Congrats! How wonderful. He hugs Politely, then hugs everyone else too. I look forward to reading your works.
  2. As her words washed over him, his eyes rolled back down into view. Very very blue Demonic eyes of innocences looking into bloodshot brown eyes full of tears and wisdom. Rune spent a moment looking at the little tiny lines of lighter brown like sun rays in his eyes, and then pictured herself diving down in the the black centers with a *sploosh!* and then- They blinked. And bulged with effort. (looks at the way the little tiny red lines pulse!) "Urgle," he croaked desparately.
  3. Cheers! Heh, as a Verdant mage player, I SO related to that...
  4. Rune watched as the smoke increased, until it poured from his nose and mouth as well. "Blow smoke rings!" She bounced excitedly, "That is so coote!" The man tried to glare at her, but his streaming eyes blunted the effect nicely. Finally after several long moments, as he coughed in small clouds, he was able to draw a long shuddering breath. "Meep!" He exclaimed dramatically, one long spatulate finger held pointed toward the sky. A confused expression transfixed his face and his eyes blinked rapidly. He coughed thrice (with no smoke, much to Rune's disappointment,) and tried again. "Aerp," he stated with great conviction. Slowly his eyes crossed and with the inevitable slowness of a great timber falling, he fell forward to the floor, bouncing twice before laying to rest. Rune cautiously approached his prostrate form and carefully peeled back an eyelid. "Mister? Are you in there?"
  5. Raw intensity multiplied. A couple of spelling/grammar errors, but on the first pass, the idea is to just get it out before you lose it. This reallyl speaks to the agony of rejection and the fantasy we spin that tomorrow might fresh hope.
  6. Wow indeed. Personally, I think it flows beautifully in both languages. "So beautiful and cruel" - I love that line.
  7. Well done. I don't recall reading this before - I echo Rune. Reaches down and pats her head gently. Post more!
  8. Brilliant... I know the White Screen of Brain Cramp, but your interlude solution to it... I love it.
  9. Peredhil wanders by with some tea for Melba. Melba is trying to get a brush through her hennaed hair but notable lack of success. Peredhil gazes in amazed appreciation of the physics of hydrodynamic involved as the short jerky pulls ripple through the various fats of her body. Fascinating in a way... Noticing Doom Gaze waiting patiently, a bundle of papers clenched hopefully in his hand, he sighs and heads off to post bail for Wyvern.
  10. Commiserates with Jakob... Yeah, sometimes I feel like that too. Wait! I HAVEN'T left the Army!
  11. Heh. For some reason, I thought of childbirth - from the kid's point of view... It makes no sense to leave a perfectly warm supportive environment for a cold harsh world...
  12. take the supply center in the North Atlantic and claim that one of the ones in Turkey is the invalid one! (used to play Diplomacy)
  13. only the ones like snow or fly that cannot offend someone with sexual, political, religious, or depressive content..
  14. Oohhh. Vivid imagery and symbolism. I'm not sure why, but I'm finding echoes inside myself of "My Papa's Waltz" by Roethke. (one of my favs by the way, so it's a good thing.)
  15. 1 ) Playing with friends in the same room. (FARS) a ) on the phone. b ) through internet chat. c ) through emails. d ) through snail mail. 2 ) Tabletop (Warhammer 40K with silly Roleplaying of the battles as you fight.) 3 ) computer single player (Master of Magic, stuff like that) 4 ) computer interactive (EverQuest)
  16. Neato. Your thoughts stream with more interest than mine.
  17. very powerful written setup for ritual suicide... I'll have to read the following posts to understand the whys of it all I guess. Definitely holds the interest, although you lost me on all the actual Japanese. I should watch more anime I guess.
  18. What a riot! I drew looks from the cubicle farm when I started literally laughing out loud as I read this.
  19. Another one to post on my cubicle wall! He's on a roll! short, but complete.
  20. LAUGHS OUT LOUD Although I don't think I'd use the exact same words... () I share the heart behind it. It IS a rough draft feel for one of your Z', but you translate the images with such raw power it's really hard to stand back and notice. Most people have to WORK to be so powerfully raw! Sometimes critiquing your works feels to me like a fern telling a redwood tree, "yup, you can still grow..."
  21. Looks at his fellow harried Half-Elf and snickers. Yup, Zadown is good isn't he? And Vlad did a great job in the original Snow poem. A bouncy sparkly job. (can you guess I like this one? ) Snickers, hugs Gyrfalcon without disrupting the nineteen task Gyr' is attempting to juggle, and Dances away laughing.
  22. Huzzah! Peredhil Dances lightly across the snow, his patent leather shoes leaving no imprint. A happy poem! A fun poem! A pretty poem! Wheeeeee! I like it!
  23. Muses very briefly. I write because I must. I'm a person who will occasionally spontaneously start talking in rhyme or haiku. Just happens. I write here for the people. The Pen is a place where people can grow. Stretch their comfort zones, dare to be vulnerable and trust that others will not hurt them unduly. It's all about the people... Big hugs to everyone
  24. Wow. You've still got it. There are some poems that make me think, "I wish I could write like that."
  25. Brilliant. You should be a director, Canid. Is there nothing a wolf can't do if it sets its mind to it? Simply amazing. I could 'see' it all. Plus, a very fun read. of course, it won't make any sense to people who don't know our personae, but it reads so well, it's a small point.
