Enjoy the Pen, Boaz.
-
*Gyrfalcon struggles to muffle his laughter in the back of the classroom* OOC: Excellent work, Brute, as Tasslehoff said, I look forward to the next lesson.
-
"Actually, Madoka, I backed up the Archmage Conservatory up to December 2001, which means I have the stories you placed within in. If you want, I can send you those stories or post them in the Library here. Or, of course, leave them where they rest." the half-elf stated. With that, Gyrfalcon smiled and eagerly went to read 'The Return'.

Madoka-sama! *Gyrfalcon bows deeply in respect* It's good to see you here. For the rest of you to know, Madoka-sama produces some *excellent* stories. If she has any backed up, maybe she can share them with us...

Happy Birthday, Elwen.

*laughs* Those poor chocolate rabbits. Oh, I should warn everyone... if you get a remarkably lifelike chocolate rabbit, please be aware that Canid and Prospero have been sneaking around distributing chocolate rabbits. Chocolate-covered rabbits to be more precise. But hey, they're wolves, and its the thought that counts.

Just in case anyone wonders/cares...
Gyrfalcon replied to The Big Pointy One's topic in Cabaret Room Archives
Heh, sorry to hear that Stick- good luck finding a new connection. -
Happy Birthday to one and all! Or is that one and two? Enjoy your birthday, you both. And may you have many more.

'Speak Softly and Carry a Big Pointy Stick'
Gyrfalcon replied to Yui-chan's topic in Cabaret Room Archives
*Daryl bounds over to Yui-chan and wags his tail at her, grinning a giant foxy grin as Gyrfalcon continues to stare entranced until her mention of a gallery for Stick to visit penetrates.* Gallery... *Aegon is nearly run over as Gyrfalcon dives through the gate ahead of Stick* (Excellent artwork, Yui-chan! You have a true gift. ) -
Powerful and well written, I enjoyed reading this, Falcon. "The moment hung through eternity, brashly proud yet coy" That has to be my favorite line of the poem, (though the rest were excellent as well!) there's just something compelling about the wording. Excellent job, Falcon.

Gyrfalcon laughed and then looked abashed. "Sorry about hitting you like that Finnius, I know I shouldn't have done that." he glanced over at where the purple fuzzies were slowly reconstructing the vase. "On the other hand, I paid the purple fuzzies to spend some time repairing the vase." Canid raised a furry brow and looked amazed. "How'd you manage that?" she asked. "I told them that the vase would be more valuable in its original state and that I'd pay them hansomely if they returned it to that state." Canid's eyes narrowed as she looked at Gyrfalcon. "You're planning to double-cross them somehow, aren't you?" Gyrfalcon laughed. "Of course! But it's fair." Finnius interjected himself into the conversation. "How?" Gyrfalcon grinned. "Because they're planning to double-cross me." he explained. Finnius just shook his blue head.

Happy (belated) Birthday, Gwaihir! May you have many, many more.

'Speak Softly and Carry a Big Pointy Stick'
Gyrfalcon replied to Yui-chan's topic in Cabaret Room Archives
..What can I say? I'm stunned- you are an excellent artist, Yui-chan. *bows deeply to her in respect for her skills as an artist* -
Gyrfalcon smiles as he steps from the shadows of an unlit corridor and bowed to Finnius. "Finnius! Good to see you again. Settle in, look around, and enjoy your stay- may you be with us for a long, long time." the half-elf said with a grin.
-
*blink blink blink* Finnius stared out at the crowd, a slowly-growing nervous expression on his face. "Well...?" he ventured finally. The room exploded in applause and cheering! OOC: Welcome back, Finnius- it's good to see you at the Pen finally.

my application(hope it works!)
Gyrfalcon replied to Chanz's topic in Recruitment Applications Archive
Good application! Good luck getting by Wyvern. Don't worry, he's a softy- especially if you give him a bag of gold. *in honor of your quote, Gyrfalcon plays Iris* -
As Rune said, reverie, we'll still be here when you come back. Deal with Real Life's issues and then return. Good luck with all the tasks you have ahead of you!
-
*Gyrfalcon applauds!* Wyvern, if you don't accept this, I'll be very unhappy.
-
*Gyrfalcon applauds loudly* An excellent short story, Yui-chan.
-
Gyrfalcon considers the beginning of the story and then applauds. "Please, write more- I truly wish to hear." the half-elf commented. Meanwhile, several kitsune and a werefox crowd around to hear the story of another kitsune...

Line 2- "In all this darkness, that ever respendent hope" I'd change 'ever respedent' to 'ever-resplendent' Hm... while I can see the point of keeping everything in equal stanzas, since you're not going for an ABAB rhyming scheme, I'd move the fifth line to the first stanze and start the second stanza with 'Yes it must'. Hm... the last line is a bit jarring compared to the previous stanza, which is fairly grim. All in all, a good poem- I think there's a lot going on that I can't see at the moment.

Just in case anyone wonders/cares...
Gyrfalcon replied to The Big Pointy One's topic in Cabaret Room Archives
Wyvern echoed my thoughs exactly, Stick. *Gyrfalcon bows to his friend* I hope a sollution to your access problem presents itself, like a new roomie with a computer moving in. Until then, I'll enjoy seeing you around when you can come by, and I hope to continue to see your excellent work. Until next we meet, my friend. -
That's both sad and disturbing... in more ways then one. The first disturbing thing is that the violence is common enough that the person's reaction was to tell them to shut up. The second disturbing fact was that the person didn't immediently try to restrain his/her mother. The third is that the person walked away. The fourth? He/She grinned. ----- "I'm a believer of what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger" A coward's response. Would she say the same if her parents were hitting her? Somehow I doubt it. She'd seeth at the injustice and being hit for something she didn't do. I agree this person has become warped. I'm not sure anything could be done to reverse the damage, though. As for abuse as a form of justice... no. There is no justice in that, just the tyranny of someone larger and stronger hurting someone smaller and weaker. That the mother could hit her own daughter only makes it worse. A sad tale, Rune.

Congradulations and happy birthday, my friend. =)
