Gwaihir rubs his eyes and takes the piece of paper. Wha …OHh, yes this. It’s about time we did this. “Umm people! I have an announcement…there you people are, good. Well, one of the pen members is always active and is always writing entertaining pieces. He writes stories, he RPs and heck he even writes neat poems. He’s always helping out and it’s high time we acknowledged this. I freely ackno…OOf” This as Wyvern hears the word free and rushes up. He bumps into the clumsy elf in his excitement and Gwaihir falls over. Slowly the spacey loremaster gets to his feet and blinks on seeing Wyvern. “Well, how did you get here? No matter how, you’re just who I needed. Everyone welcome our new Bard!” OOC: Congrats Wyv, it’s about time

the only comic I ever read regularly has been discontinued http://elfonlyinn.keenspace.com/

well you have at least made beauty out of pain, which is all any of us can do.

I'm very interested in the first one. I like it, but wonder if it couldn't be elaborated on somehow. Good stuff. Come join us or at least stay and look around

Wow, this really strong, Regel. A wonderful way of putting the old metaphor for life!

I don't really believe in seers, but I do think that some sort of psychic abilities do exist. I too have had experiences where over and over and over and over I and a friend of mine will change the topic randomly to the same utterly out of the blue thing with the same words. The scientist in me says that's ludicrous, but it's happened too many times for me to totally disregard it, so I do believe these things can happen.

Annael, who ever was supposed to pass it on to the other elders never did. We're deeply sorry . I'm sure it was an accident. PM me about your quest.
-
Good point. I forget to explain terms sometimes. Anyone who reaches the rank of Quilll-bearer has to do a quest to advance and become a full member (Herald, Poet or Troubador...or in rare circumstances one could even become a Bard). A quill quest can be anything creative as long as it involves writing .
-
So, as things used to be anyone who wanted a quill quest had to make it up at some point after they got made a quill bearer and had to send it to someone and get it approved somehow. I have heard disapproval on this policy, so I am clarifying and adding an option. Any quill bearer who wants to make up their own quillquest is still allowed to. Just PM me and I'll handle that. You can make up your quest as soon as you become a quillbearer if you want. However, if you are feeling uninspired and just don't know what to do for a quest, PM me and I will assign you one.

I don't really see this as a romantic topic, but I really like the piece ; )

Safe is when you don't need to remember dangers seen and unseen
-
you use the pen beforehand to avoid having to fight off the hordes nice
-
Safe is a place where you can say whatever you need to and no one will attack it or you.

so we're just eager okay?

A very happy birthday!!

What a lovely poem. I like the way you use a setting that is not by definition gloomy to express your own inner sadness. The images are very precise like the dipped fingertips in the chilly stream. I would add suggestions, but I never know what people want so I'll just leave it hear and say that I really enjoyed this.

The flares burst and we ducked for cover ...again The bomb whistled and missed us...only to crash on a civilian house a few meters away. We didnt' even grind our teeth or suffer sympathetically as we saw the pregnant woman stumble out...we were too enured to it.

Awesome Congrats, this is due you

A very happy birthday to the small new person!

Myth groaned to herself as she realized that yet again the Avian was not following the way she was supposed to. Normally she wouldn't care, but Myth wasn't about to be the first one to go near the special water No one in Myth's normal company would behave the way this annoying bird did. It was a wodner the bird was still alive. Myth grimaced to herself and turned back to find the lost dopey lady. She was probably off rubbing on some new inscription. It only took a few backwards steps before Myth stopped, however. There were two voices and the other one was clearly Gyrfalcon's. What were they talking about? She paused, because it was wiser to find out what they were talking about before she barged in. "Why did you leave?" the mixed blood was asking This was worth hearing--the assassin froze to the wall. A few moments later Myth laughed to herself. No surprise that Gyrfalcon didn't trust her. Anyone with his morals would have to be dumb to do so. She turned and began walking back towards the two--Best to act as if she had been coming back to get them instead of listening. But then she stopped again, because they began to speak again, in fact they began quarrelling. But what was this? Somethign she didn't know? Well that had to be handled. The next person who came around the corner would tell her what was happening. As she heard the sounds of struggle, Myth rolled her eyes. Both of these two t hought they were more civilized than she, Myth was, but they fought each other! No assassin would EVER do that!! Yes, it sounded as if Gyrfalcon was winning...naturally. Then they began to whisper so Myth crept near enough that she was right by the door. "I am sorry that I could not let you succeed," she heard Kaleyra say...what was this? Had the avian actually managed to stop the magic using swordsman? Myth made a mental note to have more respect for that funny looking bird. There were running feet and it sounded as if Kal were coming. Quickly Myth ran into the doorway "Oh THERE you are. I had to come all the way back for ....What happened to him?"

I can't really add any meaningful comments right now, but I too am reading and enjoying.

The repitition of 'I am a God' is strong. The short lines make the poem feel almost frantic. Very quickly moving but full of intensity.
